That sounds most irregular.

What kind of heating/hot water system do you have that means you have to bleed the valves in the attic ?

I still have to get the washing machine sorted out which means calling round a technician to fix it.Because they are something i know very little about i am open to a certain amount of exploitation when all i want is a no bullshit assessment and costing of it before i commit to any one company.I need to shop around and find a company that doesnt charge for callouts because like any other business it has its share of cowboys.

I might try Check A Trade and ask around before i choose a particular company or check with the manufacturer of the machine who probably will recommend a company to use in this area.Thats probably the best course of action.

Having said that i am the last person anyone would want to rip off.
