Title: Longshot?
Post by: Carlsborg Expert on 17 June, 2006, 06:57:09 AM
I was speaking to a mate of mine recently about this GN. Based in the X-Men universe the story is of someone thwarted both by humans and mutants.

Any takers?

I mean; has anyone read it or know where I can get a copy?

I read it at the time, when it was hailed as the best thing since sliced bread.  I seem to recall it being a bit pish to be honest.

My mate said he was on the verge of tears by the end of it.

Why do you think it failed?

I can't remember now- it was a long time ago.  I suppose it had a real 80's vibe to it and I was never that keen on Arthur Adams (the artist) either.

'Pish' is probably a bit unfair.

I think Art Adams is pretty good at what he does- it just has an 80's vibe that I don't really like.  It's not bad- just not to my taste.
