Landing on the home page today was a pleasant surprise.  Kudos to whoever is responsible.  It looks good.  Certainly a nice bit of promotion for the prog and everything associated with it.

Then we come to the forum ....

A little bit like that embarrassing estate on the edge of a gentrified part of town.  Unchanged for years and looking a little worse for wear but still well-frequented.

Yes, looks like a big improvement. I will say that the shop hasn't changed either, and is still awkward to navigate.

The forum still exists, and so we should probably be thankful for that. I've no idea what's going on with the shop, which manages here to be basically unusable on my Macs, iPads and iPhone. That's quite an achievement. (The problem appears to be all the animations and faff. Shops should be insanely fast, not fiddly, and so I do hope a change is on the way there.)

As for the new site, good to see some investment in it.

Lovely new site upgrade! And yes, quite a surprise.

Glad the forum is still there!

I've barely adapted to the last forum change, so thankful the gentrification hasn't spread to these levels. I've seen the hipster 'tache installed on that Molch-R droid, I know what depths of asininity Tharg wIil plumb to get down with the kids. It'll be de-ageing filters applied to every post, aubergine emojis and TikTok video competitions. Grumble.

ENGLISH! IN ENGLISH!

Thanks for the positive feedback about the new 2000ad.com website, it's not just a redesign, it's running on a completely different platform from the old site, though we've tried to bring all the existing material across (news posts, thrillcast links, ABC video links etc.), so most of the old content should still be there, but hopefully now more accessible.

There are still further improvements we're going to make to the site, but please do let us know if you encounter anything that doesn't seem to be working as expected.

As for the 2000 AD forum - we're unlikely to be changing the forum software anytime soon, other than keeping it up-to-date with patches, but hope to give it a minor styling refresh soon to bring it more inline with the new 2000ad.com site.

We're also looking to give the interface of the 2000 AD shop a bit of a refresh soon, though initially this will likely be focused mostly on fitting in better with the new 2000ad.com site, rather than changes to how the site is navigated - however if you have any specific feedback on how you think the latter could be improved, please do let us know and we'll see what we can do - we're open to suggestions!

Also, we're currently working on a number of performance improvements for the 2000 AD shop, as are aware that it can be slow to respond at times, which can be frustrating.

As long as your keeping it there and up to date I'm happy with that.

That's the intention!

The 'about 2000ad' / History section could do with a bit of work.  It would be a good place to put links to the 2000adABC series.  Would also be nice to see some character / major story outlines.  Pretty sure some sort of wiki would get plenty of love from these parts.

Thanks for the feedback, the current "About" section is placeholder really, for now, and will get some more attention soon.

BTW with the permission of Tjm86 I've stickied this post for a bit, as we're interested to get some more feedback on the new site (and/or the 2000 AD shop site) and this thread seems to be an appropriate place for this - or else you can PM me directly, or use the contact form on the new website (selecting the "Website Technical Problems" option). Thanks!

I remember a Wiki was floated some time back. It was certainly under discussion when I was actively working on the 2000 AD website. I don't know why it didn't happen, but I suspect time and management requirements may have been a factor. These days, I actually quite like the streamlined nature of the site. Either it needs to be stripped back, clean and focussed or go all-in. But for the latter, we have Barney, and Wikipedia exists for wiki entries. Also, there's nothing to stop enterprising fans setting up a bespoke wiki themselves if they want to.
