I'm just not sure who the current lineup of Regened is actually for at the moment, as it seems to be alienating most older readers while holding little appeal for the younger ones.

And yet we keep hearing claims that sales spike for those progs (and that collected editions sell well).

This got me thinking about that 1987 strike at Good Morning Britain, when ITV broadcast Batman episodes instead of the usual show ... and ratings surged.

Seems that that die-hard Tooth fans are now outnumbered by nostalgic grandparents who'll randomly buy anything with an old-skool logo (regardless of the lower-quality content).

If so, is there a risk that Rebellion will decide to play the numbers game?  Will we soon find every prog featuring a 20-page episode of Clowborn High?

The irony here is that we're debating language that most 7-11 year olds have already heard in the payground ... yet nobody blinked an eye at the hero's anthropomorphic rifle torturing & killing an enemy captive.

I'd definitely prefer to have read the Cadet Dredd story illustrated on the cover.  Please, Joko, give us some respite from tales of "Oh no, Rico might be a bad 'un at some point in the future."

There's an unfortunate smell of emptying-the-drawer when we see 76 million pages of Clowborn High followed by the clearly-laid-out-for-a-different-publication Future Shock(s).  Who knows, perhaps Regened's young readers may get to experience "Exciting news inside, kids!"?  (Can a comic actually merge with itself??)

(And how did that "Miami Vice" reference get past editorial?  I can't imagine there's many 30 year olds who'd understand the line, let alone the Regened target audience.)

On the plus side, Finder & Keeper seems to work pretty well.  Nice art, too.

Also, I do remember eggs.

A new Dredd from Mike Carroll kicks off the Prog. I already like where this one is going. Lots of meaty plot, and the promise of action and intrigue.

Agreed.  Unfortunately, Mr Carroll's obsession with stuffing speech balloons full of character names can grate somewhat, and this prog was no exception.  (Was there really any need for us to know Amos's name before page 4?  Likewise, does Wyndham Quint really need a full name?  Surely it would've been easier to go with just "Quint" throughout?)

Ahh ... have not come across that particular abbreviation before.  Instead, I wrongly presumed you'd accidentally included a personal sign-off, especially with it being a few lines down.

In my job I sign things 'JK' (real-life initials) to avoid confusion with several co-workers with the same first name -- perhaps I have been inadvertently telling people to ignore my messages for years...
