I am not sure if anyone noticed that the art of Diaboliks is done by Antionio Fuso and not Dom Reardon since last week. His art is very similar to Dom's art.  Do anyone know if he did anything else in the prog or is he a prog rookie ?

He followed on from Dom for some episodes of Ichabod Azrael, too.

I've always gone for spelling "knob" with the K as in doorknob, bedknob etc since I presumed the word "knob" - "a rounded lump or ball, especially at the end or on the surface of something" - is where the euphemism comes from?

Maybe it's just an "artist" thing but I really like the cover, the framing is quite smart.

"John Wagner and Colin MacNeil reunite for a Dredd tale that reflects on America Jara's legacy; a Mega-City One unlike one you've ever seen before in "Megatropolis"; an alien cult encounter Judge Death in "Deliverance"; travel back to the early days of the Judges in the gritty thriller "Dreadnoughts"; and The Returners are back, fighting their way through Brit-Cit! Plus there's a very special complete Lawless story, a one-off Anderson, Psi-Div story from Maura McHugh, interviews, features and in the bagged mini-trade, the first installment of the serialized 2000 AD encyclopedia!"

That all sounds interesting!

Well miffed this morning here in FQP con-apts. The hotel I'd booked for myself and Nano-bolt has up and cancelled the weekend. Leaving me wondering whether or not to book at another venue.

Im sort of hoping my hotel does the same as its non-refundable if I cancel it... 😂

Yeah, from talking to other creators I'm sure sure how many people will be comfortable attending. I don't expect I'll be there, though still have a few months to cancel my table so can wait and see how things go

Keanu looks weirdly mahogany-toned, as well, almost like the Madame Tussauds waxwork of him has been animated for the role.

As mentioned above, though, Alex Winter's performance is seamless from the previous two. Hopefully Keanu will come across better in the movie itself!

Also interested to see how they tackle the George Carlin issue.

Which might be a good time to share this tribute to the late comedian via B&T that I commissioned from B&T comic artist Evan Dorkin several years ago:

Looking forward to it but I'm a bit concerned about Keanu's "Bill" voice from the trailer... not sure I can cope with two hours of that! 😂
Er... Don't you mean his "Ted" voice?

Ha! It's been too long since I've watched these movies, clearly.

I watched Doom again a month or two ago.  It is largely boring.  I did like the nano-wall thing.  A decent enough idea.

Bubba Ho-Tep
I haven't watched this in a long, long time and it was damn well worth revisiting.  Elvis swapped out his life with an impersonator and now he is stuck in some dingy retirement home in Texas.  I finds a new lease on life when other residents start dying and he smells adventure.  With the help of his friend, JFK, he embarks on a quest to save the residents of the retirement home and their souls.  This film is great.  Bruce Campbell is in his element and this might be my favourite performance of his next to Evil Dead 2.

Just a shame the 'Bubba Nosferatu' sequel never happened! (Though apparently it's reference in the end credits was just a joke anyway)

Give the second album a listen, too. I checked it out and probably liked more tracks from it, though none as much as the one I linked above.

Hooked on the 'Expanse' books at the minute after getting the first one for my birthday in January. Tried watching the series after finishing that but found it didn't live up to what was in my head so abandoned it for now and went on to reading the second one, which I'm storming through. They're so good!

I was recommended this album by some friends a while back and forgot to check it out, but it featured on the newest episode of James Acaster's music podcast so I stuck it on Spotify and.... ho boy! This is a cracker of an album! It's described as "what if American slaves had embraced Satan instead of Jesus?"

Anyone familiar?

Cheers 69,
Will keep an eye out for those, I finally got round to watching series ten finale and did enjoy the twists and turns of this series, sad to say my least favourite character from the comic turned up a the end, hopefully she won't be doing the heavy lifting in series 11.... Whenever that happens!

On the off chance you missed the news, that was not actually the finale as the proper finale was not finished in time before the lockdown hit. So the 'actual' finale will air as a special episode later in the year.

Just watch Day of the Dead, then move on. Nothing from the Walking Dead, or it's spin offs, get anywhere near close.

Or just watch what you like and let others watch what they like. Simples.

Watched the most recent True Grit adaptation last night after reading the book in April.

Everyone has leaped to tell me that I should watch the original movie but I really enjoyed this and it's extremely faithful to the source material, save for an extra scene or two. Hailee Steinfeld in particular gave a great performance as Mattie Ross, but everyone was on point. Most of the characters were just how I'd imagined them.
