This case has always haunted me. I wonder if Judith had Turner's Syndrome, or something like it, give how extremely short she was for her age.
Barsi was 10 and still playing much younger roles. She had recently played a 7 year old in St Elsewhere, and a 5 year old in Jaws: The Revenge (the fourth and final film in the decreasingly popular Jaws series).
The release of The Land Before Time would have raised her fame and the offers of roles substantially. All Dogs Go To Heaven, too.
