They've arrived! Thanks, Thargy-boy, that's my weekend sorted.

Still nothing here. I'm starting to fret that the postie's had away with it.

Loved this week, apart from the return of SinDex which is ho-hum at best. Dredd was exceptional; so much detail in the art, so many nods to past stories (my favourite being the child assassin's Fergee doll), and a script as good as Wagner himself could produce. Great stuff.

Other Reviews / Re: Brass Sun US Format - Issue 1

Where are we after issue 2? Is that the end of series 1 or do I need to get the third in order to have the full picture? I've read series 2 in the prog, but there seems to be a gap in the story - the loss of the diary etc - that I'm not sure is deliberate or not.

Hot on the heels of the Spectator piece we now have Brass Sun being praised in the Guardian.

That's good to know. I didn't want to be a grumbler, but I was getting worried my order had been lost. I look forward to comicy goodness soon.

Has anyone's sale goodies actually arrived yet? I expected some delay given the likely sale rush, but it's been ages now.

Is it any good, then? My FLGS now has it in and it is tempting me with its shininess. Should I?

I got Too Cool to Kill and loved it, so I'm looking forward to 3 lots more. I'm sure I'll manage with the continuity jumps, and I can read it all in order at a later date when I've picked the others up. Does anyone know whether they're going to appear on ios anytime soon? I know digital copies are available on the future store, so it shouldn't be too difficult.

Has The Dead been done yet?

I missed the whole of Dante, so I'm delighted to have picked up three volumes at a bargain price.

A slight thread highjack, but I can't see where else to ask. I'm thinking of starting with the Meg once more but am inclining towards a digital subscription. I assume that means I'll miss out on the supplements, but I don't know for sure. Who can clear it up for me?

I have a fear that it's heading down the Sector House 9 route. I hope to be proved wrong next week.

I loved The Haunting of Sector House 9 :)

So did I, but I want Traumatown to be it's own story, not a reprise of a classic.

A bit of a mixed bag for me. I'm not normally a fan of Slaine, but this series has really won me over so I was a bit disappointed by the continuity gaps that have been highlighted above. Not bad, but not up to the tight scripting that the rest of the series has shown. I felt the recent ABC Warriors series had the opposite problem in that it was woolly and meandering for the most part but drew it together for a strong finish.

Dredd is one that could go either way. It's a story with great potential and it's beautifully drawn, but I have a fear that it's heading down the Sector House 9 route. I hope to be proved wrong next week.
