I don’t think there’s any way to do this. With Progs, you can add a FirstProg and LastProg value to the URL but Megs don’t work the same way because of the volumes.

Thanks Cosh - I did wonder if I was missing something but it seems not. Oh well I've a back up plan and the Shop has the megs from 2003 onwards by year so only 13 years to cover... if you'll excuse the pun!

If you're trying to figure out which Megs belong to which year I can tell you that, but next week cos I'm on vacation from my spreadsheets. Or you could reverse engineer that info from the Dredd pages on the 2kstages site.

Thanks I've got the issue numbers covered. Just wondering if there's a neat way to display them on the live site so folks can link through to the issues if they want.

Might not be possible, but worth an ask.

The format on Barney for the first 200 issues is volume number, decimal point, issue number, for example 1.1

Go that much. Alas its showing all Megs from 1990, all Megs from 1991 etc that I need, rather than the individual issues.

Okay a request for help... bit of an odd one, but all will become clear.

I'm trying to list all the Megazine covers in Barney by year. Now this is easy enough to work out for the Prog but for the Meg as they are listed in volumes I can't figure it out?

Does anyone know if its possible? I've tried a few variations on that used for the Prog but can't make that work for the Meg... any help appreciated...

A real hard battle here and once again Savage shows its up for the fight and has again shown its got the ability to remove top thrills. Brass Sun is much loved, if push had come to shove I'd have voted for it, though I love both these thrills, its a story I really miss and would love back. That long absense might have cost it? Mind its been a while since we've seen Savage and we don't know if and when either will return. Whenever they do the one thing we do know is

BPP knows the score...well not the actual score, well he might if he'd counted and discovered it was not even close in the end. Will Knigdom be the 'modern' thrill (well its 15 years old, but I guess that's relatively new in 2000ad terms) that can shake things up? On this evidence that may be the case. Or is this rather a case of Rogue being exposed as a classic thrill that hasn't really survived the test of time. Whatever the reason, or reasons the result here is clear and

has announced its presence as a real contender here, we'll see how far it can go in Round 6

Anyone else noticed the drop in the amount of strip content? I've noticed a few bits of what seems like budget saving over the last few years but its never been as pronounced as it has over the last few weeks. We're down to just two longer (4-5 page strips), a Jamie Smart - or two if we are very lucky! and a couple or three one pagers. Some of the strips as also written by editorial if I'm any judge and you can feel the quality dip in those.

The rest is well crafted stuff, puzzle page, posters, art tutorial and other editorial but you can feel the corners being cut. Even the shorts have dropped from 4 to 3 strips, with very clumsy boarders filling the gaps.

I hope its not a permanent thing and just helping the comic get through a pince point. This is still a great product and I'm a long way from dropping off ... and the boy still enjoys it and the sub is going nowhere but I just hope the comic is doing okay. After 554 issues this comic should be being lauded all over and isn't. That really needs to change.

I guess its an example of how this comic has drifted that I waited for my sub copy to land and finally got it a couple of weeks ago and have only just got around to reading it. Now there are good reasons for this, not packing it when on holiday, having various other things that took priority and my reading got sidelines etc etc... but I just to read this the moment it landed in the past.

As I mentioned last time its not a bad comic, far from it. Its just fallen from such lofty heights. This issue more than any. Shifter remains great but I feel like it needs to get to conclusion as its in danger of drifting. As is To the Death could go the same way if its not careful.

The newer material is fine. Elephantmen - War Toys isn't as strong as last time, Muscle Memory is fine, but nothing special and Eight Ball is the strongest of the three, a decent tight one off.

We'll see what next time brings, whenever that is - in theory very soon but while I doubt very much I'll drop my sub anytime soon for the first time its crossed my mind.

IT Chapter 2

I mean its just a mass of and THEN THIS and THEN THAT and THEN THIS OTHER THING and nothing quite coalesces and the themes become jumbled and unclear in a mistep of jump scares (all horribly foreshadowed) and monster effects. The attempts to add humanity through humour are horrible in the main and to be honest I couldn't really give two hoots for most the characters... which is a tavesty to anyone who has read the book.

I'm sure someone will have done this already but in the parlance of the thread shIT Chapter 2 more like.

Are we going to lose one of the tentpole characters of 2000ad? A character that appears in cover montage after cover montage? Maybe there's a lot of great chat here and so a scan of votes is no real count but it looks like, pending last day votes Rogue Trooper might about to fall? I'll tell you for sure tomorrow morning.

I'm a little surprised how clear cut this one was with Skizz having a strong spell in the middle, but it was pretty short and either side of that ABC Warriors really dominated. Both are uneven thrills and for me neither topped their opening storylines. I personally really like the latter Skizz stories, I know others don't. ABC Warriors has been terribly hit and miss, but classics like Black Hole set the thrill aside for many. And with ease
