"Fishes and Fine Yellow Sand" by Waterson Carthy.

so much musical talent here. Just the right thing for a relaxed Sunday afternoon.

Martin Carthy is a guitar playing powerhouse but doesn't feel the need to exaggerate his expertise or show off. If you want to learn finger-picking style on the guitar an easy song is And a-Begging I Will Go off his self-titled solo album (with Dave Swarbick).

It's certainly inspirational to listen to an artist as accomplished as that, makes you want to learn how to play.

Rounding off a quiet Sunday with this one.

Might get the Jimi Hendrix out Monday morning if Mrs Fonky lets me.

Listening to A LOT of Sabbath. Best buy ever.  :D

As spring rolls around, I periodically find my tastes drift in the direction of krautrock and weird prog. (Last spring was dominated by a strange tag-team of Can and Jethro Tull.) As such, I am currently listening to 'The Faust Tapes', (1973) by Faust, oddly enough.

Got the stereo to myself tonight (Mrs fonkys zumba night) so I'm playing this. Got into these while searching under O in HMV for Ozzy albums. Great guitar work on here awesome.

Been listening to some new Chicago House releases:

Crimetime EP on the Acidicted label
RDY # 7 (ongoing series of edits from reel to reels of Ron Hardy)
Obsolete Music Technology - MMMMmusic (good remix by Chicago Skyway)

Any other Chicago House fans here?

Lovely album! Back in the day that was the spookily perfect soundtrack (or more the cover art really) for Ecco the Dolphin  :D

Not a kick in the arse off Ozric in style really, very much looking forward to seeing them support Meshuggah.

This is the same drummer with his band Fleshwrought, plays all parts in it. One of those gits that makes playing the guitar look really easy, as well as the drums! Love the bit around 1 minute, he smiles as he starts playing a groovy bit then gets his metal face back on
