Probably flying in the face of popular opinion here, but I didn't like it. 2000ad has felt a bit 'tired' of late

Dredd - fighting the Sovs (again)
Bad Company - I didn't pay much attention to the last outing because it ended neatly over a 1000 progs ago
Savage - I haven't a clue what's going on, he was a bar man, now he kills Volgs in Berlin on a full moon and fights transformers
ABC Warriors - Massively disjointed, Langley's art is lovely, don't know where this fits in to the continuity of it all
Ace trucking - another incarnation of a classic story

The standout was Deadworld- Kendals artwork is something else, the story is oppressive, claustrophobic and unpleasant

What I find worrying (and perhaps symptomatic of a bigger problem at the Nerve centre) is there is nothing new in the issue, and as a whole the 'brand' feels as though it is a prisoner of nostalgia

Long time Member .. occassional poster

it looks like i may have recieved a dodgy copy of the 2000ad because the art i saw in dredd is probably the worst i have ever seen in the the Galaxys Greatest, it looks like he has used Beavis and Butthead as reference material and someone has described to him what Dredd looks like over the phone (he's an Orange with a helmet on)  its terrible  its thrown into such a stark contrast because the rest of the issue is incredible looking.

Quick question, is there ample capacity in the rooms for everyone to get in?

i don't want to spend an hour of precious hero worship queuing up for the SD film.

I'm getting a Tad annoyed with them to be honest (the following is NSFW)

i subbed as soon as i found out about it (rather proudly sub number 32)

i got a letter through saying that my account /payment was blocked ..contacted the bank to find out what the problem was

they said there was no problem.. so i contact the Hachette and confirmed my detials again, and they confirmed that it looked alright and put it through again

i then got the first 2 issues  quickly followed by a the third.

then i got a nice email telling me that i was getting them for free and that my subscription would continue uninterrupted when the new run started.

then they announced their premium sub , with the nice prints.. i thought i'll have a bit of that.. so contacted them three times via their website..no word

then contacted them via facebook.. to be told that my account was blocked again(something to do with missing digits on my bank card?) and that they had to set up a new account for me and that it would start from issue 2.. but i had to contact them again to give them my card details

i recieved no correspondence to tell me there was a problem , either via email or by post

as you can imagine i am rightly fucked off with them, i signed up to it the day the news broke and now i'm gonna be one issue down on the new spines. , and spend my days chasing them up to give them my money.. you would think they would have been quite keen

i appreciate that they gave me the first three for free, but the lack of correspondence infuriates me coupled with what correspondence i have received is obviously inaccurate

so tomorrow i'll be on the phone to them again..to try and sort it out..

one bit of good news is that my new sub number is 871.. so uptake seems decent enough

Imagine my surprise when issue 1 turned up this morning on my old sub number.. so i may have to 2 subscriptions.. great

i'm not sure if this has been already covered, but reaction figurES are no longer making them... the contract runs out in about 8 months (i think) and that's why all the promised abc warriors, etc have not been released.. because they were a bit of a failure(some of the figures were a bit patchy as well)

and i'm still waiting for affordable action figures :)
