All I could find was the colour 2 page spread. In the agency files its in black and white which Jim preferred so I converted the colour to greyscale to post it here.

Forum man of letters Jim Campbell joins the book club to discuss the early Strontium Dog story Journey into Hell, and the history of comic book lettering.

We also pause to pay tribute to the late, great Dave Evans. You can find the Justgiving link on the website below.

Thanks for all the comments. Glad you enjoyed, Apollo, Colin. I shared your comment with Mike Collins and he was delighted.

The podcast turned 5 years old last week. Thanks to Conrad from the mighty Space Spinner 2000 for reminding me.

And thank you to all my guests and contributors. Lots more to come with some Strontium Dog, Zenith, The Thirteenth Floor, and a revisit of the Apocalypse War coming up in the next few weeks

I would be grateful to be included on the condolences page as well please. Thanks for organising this.

Garry Hill fresh from the successes of running a vaccination hub has convened a meet up of the 2000AD eastern contingent at the Grain and Hop store pub in the middle of Cambridge.
1:30pm on Saturday July 17th for a drink and a chat. Last time there was an art droid doing sketches for pints, this time there may even be a well-known podcaster in attendance (not me, although I hope to be there as well).

Come along if you feel comfortable and safe doing do. This is open to any comics fan, all are welcome and there is absolutely no gate keeping, you will not be quizzed on your 2000AD knowledge (just as well in my case). It's a fun chat about comics and life with some likeminded fans.

And for the Southers Commando Forces Burdis has organised their next meetup for Saturday August 14th which is free comic book day at the Crown and Anchor pub near Covent Garden from 12 o clock onwards. Same rules apply i.e. none, and it's great fun meeting up for a pint with your prog rocking brothers and sisters.

And here is that grail page with Jules at top left.

Jules Boyle is back, and the audio is better! He takes me through the third volume of Slaine's adventures, some classic UKCAC tales, and explains how Glenn Fabry came to draw him into the pages of Slaine the King.

Cheers, JBC.

And here is Roland's first grail page image

Roland Ungoed-Thomas returns to chat about the Horned God audiobook, and then the much requested prog classic Bad Company by Milligan, Ewins and McCarthy.

A useful follow up to the Darkie's Mob episode.

Oh jeez this is terrible news.   :(
Always such a delightful presence at conventions and at the bar afterwards.
If anyone can tell his family how loved he was by the whole 2000AD community please do.

Give all your loved ones a hug and be kind to them, and yourselves. None of us know what might happen the next day.

Thanks for all the positive comments about the podcast, guys. Much appreciated.
As a perfect sequel to Darkie's Mob, Bad Company is up next.

In the meantime here is a Mike Western grail page for Paul Trimble.

Paul Trimble from the Enniskillen comic fest is my guest to discuss the brutal and uncompromising Darkie's Mob by John Wagner and Mike Western. Not a comic for the faint hearted.

This episode is respectfully dedicated to the memory of Colin Noble.
