So, I started this thread and have still not picked up a PS5. Not only because they are rare as rocking horse poodoo, but....there's nothing been shown that really grabs me. Yet!

Great stuff! Your recent stuff on farcebook is also equally stunning, although I have no idea what adjustment layers are! ;)
Ha! Thanks Woolly!

I like it is there gonna be a short story to the animation?

Yeh, there a little more to come on this one. Gotta make that arrest! After that, I'm probably going to do another tooth character. Maybe Ace or Dr and Quinch. Always thought they'd both make amazing cartoons!

Both those are ripe for a crazy wee short. 👍🏻

Definitely! I'll be sure to storyboard it properly next time, so I know what's actually gonna happen, heh.

A little Dredd animation I did Clipstudio. Hoping to add to it as I go.

My latest gaming obsession is Monster Hunter Rise. Really enjoyable game with a gameplay cycle that goes from ultra soothing in the village hub, building armour and eating different foods, to intense combat, both single and multiplayer. Highly recommended!

That chunky pixel style typeface works really well.

Not for me, I'm afraid. I like '80s computer magazine/game logos as much as the next ageing squaxx, but I had to wonder: why here? It doesn't relate to the rest of the cover dress, the laboured tagline pun or the story itself. Am I being characteristically dim and literal?  Is it because the cover is a homage to one from 1983?

I took it as being deliberately retro, yeh. Maybe? ;-)

Great cover, really like the dressed version too. That chunky pixel style typeface works really well.

Fenyx Rising, on Nintendo Switch. Great game, seems to have gone under the radar for most folks.

Norton's version is very stylish and eyecatching indeed, but I think the kaleidoscopic background speaks to the wider technicolour weirdness of the setting, which is as big a part of the strip as the titular character.

I suppose it's a toss-up between a striking character cover, and trading on/promoting the appeal of the strip.

I agree. The cover background is integral to it's design. I see where Norton is coming from, though.
