Woh there you moaning lot! The EE was ok for a measly ?3 and it was nice to get stuff that hasn't been reprinted a gazillion times before. Speaking as someone who really misses the old "Best of"s and "Law in Order"s it's good to see Rebellion bringing out something other than tooth and the meg.

So stop yer moaning and just think what the next EE could be...!

This Death EE is really cool. I adore Greg Staples' work on Dead Reckoning and don't understand why so many people don't rate this story.

I hope the next EE is stront flavour. I know its an unpopular strip but I'd love to re-read The Final Solution in one sitting. Failing that, a Marlon Shakespere flavoured EE woyld be nice!

Pete.

In reply to Opaque (who spends WAY too much cash on cool stuff, the lucky bugger!) the piece only went for 38 quid in the end.

It was bought by Test 4 Echo who was nice enough to reply to my post in this thread (sorry for the 'Sh*tbag' remark, heat of the moment stuff!) so it's nice to know it's gone to someone from the board and not someone looking to make a buck.

I've made sure I was the highest bidder on a piece of Dredd/Mishionary Man original artwork all sodding week (not amazing artwork, I admit, but it would have been nice to have owned apiece of the only story where the two characters met.) I checked often, rebidded when outbid only... you guessed it, to have some sh*tbag sneak in at the last minute of sale and bid a quid more than me.

Agggggh, I'm furious!!! How many other poor people on this group have suffered from this evil for of theft?

Pete (who knows how auctions work but is still p*ssed off.)

I've just read that people have started tossing eggs at his box (sounds painful) and whacking golf balls from the bridge at him!

I don't dislike the man and do think he's a good entertainer but I can't help sniggering a bit.

Lovely link. Does anyone know if/where we can buy art by Cliff Robinson, Kev Walker, Jim Murray, Jason Brashill and Greg Staples?

Cheers,

Pete.

Ahhh! The scene outside the ambulance after Jessie uses the word to tell the red neck cop to go fuck himself in book 1 is fantastic!

Just to add my tuppence worth. Preacher is my favourite strip ever ('cept for Dredd, naturally). I cared about the characters throughout the tale and it's the set of books I give people who want to give comics a try.

Very highly recommended.

Patience is a Virtue!!! I've waited a year and a half already!!!!

Cheers Mr Logan, you were always a dependable source of info in the past, it's great that you're able to give us 'inside' info now!

I'm just thinking, I hope Chop doesn't get erm.. the chop. I assume that Alan Barnes is using the Judge Death tale as a lure to get new readers to the Megazine and I think if it was followed by a (Wagner scripted) Chopper tale it may have kept 'em...

What do you lot think?
#5818
What ever happened to the Chopper story that was supposed to be in one the big, end of year superprog thingies? It was supposed to be the final meeting of Dredd & Chop and had art by Colin MacNeil who did a storming job on 'Song of the Surfer.' Instead we got the Slick Dickins tale (lovely art as usual by Staples and a canny script by Wagner).

Why was it pulled? Did Marlon cark it? I want to read this strip!

I'm not *too* upset by the tv characters appearing in Leviation and it certainly isn't detracting from what I see as one of the coolest strips to emerge for yonks. I just tend to ignore it. But while we're on the subject, wasn't the guy who tried to mug David Jason actually Albert Steptoe?

When I was younger my twat of a brother told me there was an extra 10 mins footage after the credits on Aliens.

I remember smugly sitting in the cinema with my girlfriend after everyone had left, getting a mixture of puzzled and annoyed looks from the poor cinema staff who were trying to clear the place up only to discover my brother was being a git and playing a joke on me!

Anyone else know any film pranks?

Pete.
