Hopefully im correct in assuming its still selling well, so they wont discount it while it continues to do so?

from my experience working in the high street, yeah pretty much. when somethings being sold for a pittance its not doing well.

Ive just finished Crystalis on the NES. Its now my favourite NES action rpg, its better than the original zelda imo! really cool story and graphics, great fun to play. I think Nintendo looked at Crystalis when they made ALTTP on the snes, its like the missing link (sorry).

When i was younger, im sure i read a full colour retelling/reworking of the story of rico returning from the penal colony.  art like this http://images.wikia.com/britishcomics/images/5/50/Rico_Dredd.jpg . It mightve been part of the classics series, which is where i read America for the first time too

Is there anywhere i can get hold of this rico remake? It was top and ace.

QuoteThe Music and Dance of 2000ad  - sound and motion are supposed to be tricky to pull off in comics art, so consider the gauntlet thrown.

Mind if i do a gif? itll circumvent the challenge of representing sound in a still image but it has its own challenges :)

Hi everyone, Ive been an intermittent lurker for a long time and ive finally signed up to join in. read my first Dredd Comic when i was 8 i think, it was the Judge Dredd Megazine with Heavy Metal Dredd in it as i remember! I was going on holiday with my family and my mum told me to get a magazine for the plane, well i got a megazine instead and thank god she didnt check inside! I think someone got their ghoulies chopped off. been a fan ever since, though my wallet hasnt always permitted my fix. Not that i get my kicks out of just ghoulies being chopped off, one of the things ive always loved about 2000ad is the variety. fascist antiheroes, swashbuckling rogues, mutant bounty hunters, mind-bending future shocks, moving stories like America, its got it all!

ill stop gushing now.

Ta!

Good grief its hard to choose! but choose i must!

1. Malicious - Babe race 3000

great perspective and composition, its a really action packed image full of motion.

2. Professor James T bear - Helltrekkers

Another really action packed image, but i love the trippy palette in particular

3. Steve Denton - A Love like blood

It really does look like a cover, great drawing and it all the different parts really tell me what the strip is all about. mood.

its all aspirational stuff.
