could the admittedly very different style of writing actually be a reason for the pseudonym (be it gordon or anyone else)?

and anyway, more importantly, who wrote shakespeare?

17
4-1 to robbie

wow. i find myself in general agreement for what feels like the first time. i have been getting a tad worried about my critical faculties.

18
4-1 to alan, the master of the concise thrill.

i kind of miss the days when the city was under threat almost every week. there's a great deal of chat and hanging out (sometimes literally) these days - which is fine, but i'd rather go to love and rockets for that ...

ken's work seems to be accomplished and utterly inconsequential. give him a megaepic and a license to disrupt the status quo.

gerry, meanwhile, without whom ... wins 5-0.

5-0 to gordon
at least.

just a brilliant comics writer, whose work is only getting better. the doomy, atmospheric, character-driven, tragic tour de force that is jaegir is worth five points by itself. but there is so much more ...

i strongly suspect that no-one likes modern day john wagner more than me ...
he's god, y'know?
but that's a genuinely horrible and reprehensible moment from his early years.

jumped at 80 (marvel relaunch).
they called me.
why are you leaving?
you keep extending this.
and what's wrong with that?
i live in a one bedroom flat.
oh.

also, in this, y'know, sci-fi, comic, i don't think anyone ever caught the poignant, fragile, claustrophobic, actual, human experience of space as well as hilary and nigel did in medivac 318. it was quiet. sometimes quiet is good.

25
it would be a five nil clean sweep to david, for me, if we were considering his superb work outside the prog.
but since we're keeping it to work for the mighty one, it's 4-1 to hilary.

cradlegrave. overseen by ken loach.

ordered. nostalgia never looked so elegant as these editions.

(can you drop any enticing hints concerning future volumes in this fabulous series?)
