Even though I don't own it, I've always liked the cover to Goo by Sonic Youth - gives off a real Love and Rockets (the comic, not the band) crossed with Shade: the Changing Man (the Peter Milligan / Chris Bachalo version) vibe.

A great cover, no doubt. Bill Sienckiewicz's cover for Bobby Digital by RZA is another great comic/music fusion:

Great self contained Dredd and the rest of the Meg's pretty good too.

May just be me, but the facial expressions on the 2 Marshalls on the cover look a bit odd to me...

Yes, Lawson looks a bit off to me as well.

They were also the inspiration for Zombo's pants.

Dredd was excellent, as expected from Williams & Weston. Brink remains a highlight of the rest of the prog. Very enjoyable reading on a sunny afternoon in the garden.

Nice to see Dan Cornwell in the prog after the excellent Rok of the Reds. Also happy to see Hope return. I was a bit worried that it was going to remain incomplete.

I missed that. The publicity I saw was all about actors and cosplay. I probably would have headed along if I'd known they had some comics interest. Next year.

There also didn't appear to have much (any?) small press or larger publishers there either. I got the impression (perhaps unfairly) that the organisers aren't particularly into comics.

Why is it Jim, when I make a point it's trolling but when someone else makes a very similar point it's not?
Perhaps because your posts often appear to be intended to provoke and goad others, rather than debate.

Jim isn't the only the person to make this point.

The comics element of GCCC looked pretty limited, I thought (although I didn't go, so may be misunderstanding it).

General / Re: How to collect Nikolai Dante GN's?

Several of the books are out of print currently. A nice new series of omnibus collections would be just the thing, I'd have thought.

A case files-style omnibus collection of Dante would suit me.

I'm psyching myself up for it. Although I loved the book, I found it very upsetting to read.

Listening to the Mega-City One Book Club podcast, I suddenly realised Kid Knee is a pun, not just a wild-west themed nickname based on his mutation. I don't know how I missed that.

News / Re: New 2000 AD creators blog

A very enjoyable read. I'd pretty much forgotten about Hogan's Run on Robo-Hunter and was completely unaware that Ridgway had ever drawn Strontium Dog.

I did like this amusingly Freudian typo:
Quote from: Heroes of 2000AD
Tharg-in-Chief Steve MacManus was hard at work prepping The Judge Dredd Megazine, basically designing tit to be 2000AD for grownups.
