Thanks guys! It was fun to do but I think you can tell when I started running out of steam.

For anyone actually interested in finishing it, you'll need one numerical clue from each investigation branch.

I haven't heard this one yet, but agree that Grushko Kreel definitely must be a reference to Crusher Kreel / Absorbing Man.

Kleggmass!

You can download it from Google Drive above, or just play it there.
Hope you enjoy it!

What they said. It's worth waiting for from our point of view. Hope your Mum is ok.

Post has come and gone this morning, no Progs, not really surprised.
I wouldn't say it's worth contacting the subs guys today: we subscribers are all in the same boat so they've obviously all been held up somewhere and presumably will turn up at some point. Once the bulk of people here start getting theirs I'd give it a day or two if nothing arrives and then get in touch with them about a possible replacement.

The strikes are 100% not Rebellion's fault and I'm fully supportive of what postal workers are having to do - although I can't ignore the fact that prog delivery has been shoddy and random all year when other periodicals don't seem to suffer in the same way.. Regardless, I'm ready for a big dose of thrill power when all of these finally drop.

I hope you're playing loads of Animal Crossing, Jimbo.

..having just done a little count, I've pleasantly surprised to find I've now played exactly half of the FF/Sorcery books that I own!

Nice! Counted mine up and I've played 26/54 owned. I'm expecting the playthroughs to falter badly once we get into the 30s.

Great stuff guys! Loving Colin's Phoenix-inspired stuff and another cool bit of prose from Jware. Chopper is the one that stood out for me - at the time that had so much pathos it felt like a massive event in my life as a reader and that's never really changed.

McFad, I have added some Red Panda to my offering just for you.

Agreed IP. Metal is ridiculous, and has a fine tradition of taking the piss out of itself, but there's a difference to being on the inside laughing at yourself to being on the outside laughing at.

Tbh I don't really care. A lot of other stuff I like has been mocked in 2000ad that didn't annoy me, but here I just got briefly wound up by what felt like a Daily Mail-esque treatment of something I'm passionate about.

Anyone else getting Pat Mills vibes off David Hine's scripting - espeically the sequence where 'Fish' loudly attempts to prove his metal bonafides? It's a bold writer who's angling to take that mantle on!

Just read the interview with David Hine where he says death metal is 'parodic' and he doesn't seem to know anything about it, which explains why his death metal characters are such shitty, goofy stereotypes.
I mean, I don't expect anything beyond broad strokes and piss-take in a comic about interdimensional murdering ghosts but this has been really poor stuff.

Still missing the physical copy, but big thanks to Rebellion for issuing the digital versions.

Dredd aside, I didn't enjoy this Prog.

The Star Trek Video Boardgame (fun)
Yes, Captain Kavok!

EXPERIENCE BIJ became the default phrase when anything bad, regardless of seriousness, happened for years after.

At University I lived with two serious Trekkies and have endured much, from it being on TV literally almost every hour of the day to having to play Star Trek Trivial Pursuit (not fun), The Star Trek Video Boardgame (fun) and some kind of Star Trek roleplaying game. As someone who wasn't a fan growing up it was enough to instil in me first a deep hatred which then gave way to a sort of weary resignation and acceptance.

I still can't abide TNG. DS9 was my favourite back on those days but if I'm ever going to watch any now it would be original Trek. The threat is almost always an energy being or a cowboy / roman / prohibition version of earth, but I find it quite endearing and I like it's optimistic vision of the future.

There's some very nice Blanche-esque art from the Hungarian edition of Crystal of Storms up for sale here:
https://lakatos.bigcartel.com/products
Even if you're not into original art, go and check it out because they look great and far better than the art in the UK edition, lovely old school Warhammer / FF feel to them.

Anyway, I haven't posted here for a couple of weeks and that's because I still cannot beat Masks of Mayhem.

Anyone else playing this? It's insanely difficult, and that's all the more frustrating because once you get over the 'king wanders off on his own to do a quest without any stuff' premise the plot is actually quite good.
Looking forward to finishing it and playing something easier <checks which book is next the series> oh right.

No Progs delivered today, posties striking again tomorrow so that's two weeks late minimum on 2310 and a week on 2311.
Fully behind all our striking workers. Would love a prog though.
