Uh, but the most recent Bad Company arc isn't in the book. Therefore, if it's the only reason you were going to buy it, maybe you should rethink that position.

Pretty much zero, I'd say, but then you never know what's going to happen at the tail-end of the run, when they've run out of SD/Slaine/Rogue/et al. I'm hoping for a Luke Kirby book...

As for Bad Company, only doing the pre-Kano stuff is a very good thing, in my opinion. The Kano solo strip was all right, but nothing spectacular, and the more recent Bad Company strip hardly set the world ablaze.

What DC's site says is one thing. When they actually arrive in the UK is another entirely.

Looks like it's going to be next month before it arrives here, unless anyone knows different?

Suggestions / Re: 2000ad tsunami auction?..........

::  it's not like their aid is in short supply at the moment
:: with governments bending over backwards with the
:: cheque book

Except, of course, with the exception of Japan, the governments only did so because they were embarrassed into it by the sheer generosity of their citizens. Of course, whatever the government gives is essentially "our" money, too, although Jack Straw did surprisingly note this in a quote.

Quite frankly, I don't have a problem with the tsunami charity issue. Entire countries have been devastated in no time at all, and, sadly, it's simpler to deal with non-political devastation than the same caused by man. However, some proper debt relief might be helpful, rather than governments stalling on the issue.

I don't know. Why are you? You could instead support indie stores and shop at  the Chain With No Name, where typical albums are between 10 and 12 quid.

It's actually not that random. Almost everything marked "merchandise" gets taxed these days (if it's worth over ?17?if worth less, it's always ignored).

The issue I have is not paying the VAT fee, but the extortionate additional charges from the likes of Parcel Force (who, apparently, charge you for the various journeys they supposedly make to pay the customs fee on your behalf). The regulators aren't happy about this, but to date have done sod-all about it.

FWIW, gifts are tax-free up to the value of ?34.

Wasn't Armageddon creator-owned? I think the management realised at the time that having Dredd's entire back-story as creator-owned would be a really dumb move, hence the lack of sequels.

Some of the stuff from the pilot of Fur TV would be spot-on for that! (Good to see the BBC neglected to commission a series from what was the second funniest thing I saw on-screen in 2004. Thanks, BBC!)

Let's see?would I rather buy a witty, thorough look at 2000 AD's history, complete with various bits of art and commentary, or a book about the making of a mediocre computer game?

David wins! Here's hoping Rebellion agrees.

Only eat junk one day per week. On that day, you can eat whatever you like. We did this last year, and soon we didn't care for the junk, even on the junk day (and by "junk" I mean crisps, candy, any kind of junk food).
