I've got them all so far, and think they are brilliant, but that Origins one foxed me, too.

I have just sent an email, will update you if I get a reply. I certainly don't want any ropey ol 60s Stan Lee stuff, because the man had great ideas but was a hack writer.

Phoned them this morning and this is the situation:

If you don't want the "Classics" volumes you can wait until the 60 volumes have been received (which should be within the next 2/3 deliveries) and return any classics ones for a full refund.

The address to send them to is: Hachette Freepost, NEA9013, Jarrow, NE52 3BR

Cool, thanks, Alski - don't know if that'll work for me as I'm getting them through my local newsagent but I'll send 'em a letter to find out anyway.
.
Thanks again.

Have you had volumes 39 (Civil War) and 41 (FF: Unthinkable)?

I think those may have got lost in the post.

resurrecting this thread, as after the shenanigans of the 'classics' being snuck into the subs, today I received volume 68 of the 60 volume set. What are they playing at ?

Wow. Taking underhand to a new level. So is this 120 on top of the Classics I already have 2 issues of or is it 120 + 60 classics ?  :o

Dear Stan,

Piss off, you moneygrabbing con man.

'Nuff said,

Many things can and will be said about Stan Lee. But the final word will always be...

Hee hee. Like. Very much. Say what you like about Stan he's got a sense of humour.

And the Marvel Ultimate Graphic Novels are great. Okay.... I prefer some stories to others as is always the case, the but they've largely been good and the format is lovely and value for money (hardbacks for £9.99 a pop) rather good.I'm still way behind, and but I pick up back issues* from time to time from my local Comic shop.

*Amusingly my tablets autocorrection converted 'back issues' to 'backsides'. I really don't collect backsides.

I don't deny that it's a good library - it's great. That's what makes this corporate vampirism even more annoying than it should be. Anybody who's collected this far, showed that kind of loyalty (especially these days) doesn't deserve to be treated with such calculating disdain.
.
My library should be complete right now and I'd probably still be getting the new ones for as long as I can afford it.
.
(Please don't tell Stan I write comics - my outrage only burns so warm and we do all dream...)

Got the lot - only waiting for 2 that were lost in the post and volume 60.

Lovely books, but the way they decided to extend it with more juvenile titles whilst pretending it was the idea all along was shitty.

That said, utterly happy with the initial 60 set.

I  have a serious respect for hardback "proper" books
don't get into an argument with an idiot,he'll drag you down to his level then win with experience.
