Dredd Petitions and other means of fighting for a sequel

Can I just politely point out that we don't want to be annoying. We want something, but we want them to want us to want it

Be positive, be constructive. So if you mention 3D putting people of explain politely why it put you off or why you think out put others off. Speak from your experience where possible. Opinion is secondary, they can disagree with opinion but they can't disagree with your experience.

I'll be emailing, I might make it an own letter too on my Blog. The one I may have mentioned Judge Minty  on once or twice.

^ Totally agree. I must admit that whoever is behind the facebook page has made some pretty silly moves, for example posting a presumably private letter to be publically viewed earlier on today. Luckily it was removed within minutes, but someone obviously has a lack of PR skills.

Just to clarify I applaud and support the movement to get a sequel, but I'm fully aware that if not properly guided and channeled it coulld end up doing more harm than good.

On related lobbying and petitioning malarkey.
Fellow board members may have noticed that the online DVD/Blu-ray merchant Zavvi have been doing some sexy steelbooks of late.
If we're interested in increasing those DVD/Blu-ray sales, maybe helping to contribute to the chances of a sequel, why not drop Zavvi a line requesting a Steelbook release?
I did so and was told that my request had been sent to the relevant party responsible for such things.
Worth a go?

Been  signing petitions all week and am currently in the process of constructing a positive email/ letter to be sent to all of the mentioned addresses. Also worth a mention is Leon Clarance C.E.O of reliance Entertainment and on twitter who has a love for Dredd and replied to one of my tweets regarding a sequel to the film, Give him a tweet see if you get a response. Be nice the man did take the time to tweet me back saying" what about digital rather than celluloid? Thats not a property I have any say over but who knows...".

Sorry, gathering by the "overwhelming" (*sobs*) number of replies to the new thread I posted this in yesterday, I'm guessing it would have been better posted here.... so here goes... attempt 2... (I think it is relevant though so bear with me)

This MUST have been said somewhere before, but just in case....

Doesn't the excellent Judge Minty film show just how awesome a low budget Cursed Earth Dredd 2 could be? While we're all off petitioning the makers of Dredd 3D for a sequel, it possibly wouldn't hurt to throw this idea into the mix (with a link to it on YouTube to make it easy).
