It will also be interesting to see the final rounds the results versus the top 20 vote we had in the beginning  of lockdown

I’ve just looked it up and h the thrill I have as the nailed on favourite here was only second. And the only thrill I can realistically see challenging it was the winner.

So it might not be as clear cut as I’m expecting.

True-ish. I’m hard pressed to remember if it’s Nolan Blake or Blake Nolan.

I love Brink and think this series has been great. But I’m not sure about that final episode. In as much it doesn’t really wrap things up, it just sets things up for future series.

But I’m a way that’s what Brink does, I guess.

Also bit surprised no-one has mentioned that 2000AD has been running two strips for the last several weeks featuring lead characters called Nolan.

But then again the two strips in question could hardly be further apart in terms of quality.

Major Magnam - he didn't look anything like an ice cream.

LOL

But only one has names its characters with puns. Plus, I use "your mouth is full of wrong" in real life.
Venus Bluegenes?

Helm?
Bagman?
Gunnar?

Not to mention Rogue himself.

7
Dante.

Early Anderson was one of the best things in the Prog, but zenith was even better.

One of the best complete stories in the Prog ever and career best art by Yeowell.

I feel I ought to like Rogue more than I do, as it’s managed to somehow assume ‘classic’ status.

Being an almost ever present strip for around 200 Progs, in what is often described as the classic era, tends to lead to that sort of classification, I guess.

Savage.

I had always previously had the impression Rogue was regarded as an A list 2000AD character, but now I’m not so sure.

I’m a big Dan Abnett, but think he has series that are even better than  Kingdom.

So this is a close one. I’m going to go with Kingdom.

Not really a fan of either.

Ampney Crucis on the basis it took out one of my all time favourite Meg series in the Simping Detective in an earlier round.

ABC Warriors for me. At it’s best it was as good as anything published in the Prog. When not, at least it has some nice pictures.

Only the first series of Skizz really holds up for me, and even then it’s not as good as other stuff Alan Moore did for Tharg.

Just love Insurrection. It’s in my top three all time Megazine thrills. But it’s not quite at the level of Nemesis The Warlock.
