It's time for a really pointless question. Who do you think were the best duo in the history of 2000ad and related comics? I'll start the ball rolling by giving the obvious answer of Sinister Dexter. Anyone remember a while ago when some conveniently similar characters appeared in Nikolai Dante? What a rip off. Anyone remember any other intertextuality or rip-offs? There's another pointless question. Sorry.

The greatest duo?

Well how about Judges Dredd and Death.

Like Fred and Ginger.

Sort of...

Johnny Alpha & Dredd in 'Top Dog':
Top Dog (Judge Dredd Annual 1991) 29 pages
Script: John Wagner, Artist: Colin MacNeil
Reprinted: Best of 2000AD Special Edition 1999
Hamlyn Books: Judge Dredd Top Dog

Plus the final full page pic of 'Judgement Day' with Dredd & Alpha saying "who's going to mess with us" is one of the best Carlos Ezquerra pics of all time.

La Placa Rifa,
W. R. Logan.

How about Anderson and Dredd in Judge Death Lives.

That lovely shot of them appearing through the shield, holding each other.

Sweet.

Ukko and Slaine. I always thought they were two extremes that worked wonderfully together.
