El Bigote in: A Tequila-Drenched Reckoning.

In haunted Mexico, the Day of the Dead never ends. Monsters, ghouls, cannibalistic muertoads and spectral sessquatches are on the loose, and its up to El Bigote to put them back in their graves.

Look out for the first issue coming next year from Locustsofdeath and El Chivo!

Hey Chivo! We both had the same idea!

Now, Locust- where's the script!

Heh. Any day now, Bolt. About...70 percent of it is in Spanish, so I'm waiting for the translator to get back to me. Never fear though, chaps, El Bigote speaks (not-so) good and (not-so) proper English, so the Spanish won't get in the way of you enjoying the comic. It's just easier (and funnier) to write all kinds of off-the-wall vulgarities in Espanol.

Great work guys, I'll be sure to look out for the first issue in 2012.

IAMTHESYSTEM

Will it be available in a digital Format or traditional Comic style?

Works really well apart from the lettering - especially the out-of-place Ó at the bottom.

Hmmm, Filip is still learning (as are we all) but it might have been better to have matched the 'O' to the rest of the font and added the Accent in photoshop.

Still, best way to learn is to do, and all that...

flip-r mk2

I'm definatley still learning, I cut and paste the script into the font in Illustrator and that was the accented O that came out and after some thought decided to stick with it. This time I might have got it wrong but you live and learn, to be honest I should have checked with LoD to see whatb he prefered.

It's all right, that's in every contract.
That's what they call a sanity clause.

Oh, the adventures El Chivo and I have planned for you guys...

Flip stepped in and did the lettering in a pinch as I needed a promo before Day of the Dead (your Guy Fawkes, almost as cool). Bolt is handling lettering duties on the strip.

The first 10-page preview - a self-contained strip - is all drawn up. I'm getting a few last-minute translations (I speak pretty good Spanish, but can't translate some of the crazy slang I wrote) and then Bolt will have it all lettered up. After that...well, I can't wait!

Thanks for the interest guys!

I'm surprised you couldn't translate them yourself Locust - surely the first words you learn of a new language are the swear ones?!
An old-school, no-bullshit, boys-own action/adventure comic reminiscent of the 2000ads and Eagles and Warlords and Battles and other glorious black-and-white comics that were so, so cool in the 70's and 80's - Buy the hardback Christmas Annual!
