Over on my blog I've run a few posts recently on the UKCAC 1986 portfolio that features art by a number of British comics creators...

In today's post there's a Bryan Talbot 'Nemesis' image and Jim Baikie and Cam Kennedy also contribute - and I just wonder if their images are of 2000AD characters or not? Any advice gratefully received.

Wow that is fantastic. I first went to UKCAC in 88 by which time they had the souvenier booklet and charity auction of the art in there. Is this a precursor of that, or was this alongside I wonder? There is certainly a booklet from 86.

According to the list at the bottom of you post, the Baikie and Kennedy drawings are def. not from 2000AD.
Never heard of the Electric Warrior, I'm afraid, but BD Rickenbacker is from the Outsiders, a Wagner/Grant offering from DC.

Lots of lush sketches in there, thanks for sharing!

Electric Warrior is a DC series from back in the day (1986 having looked it up). Jim Baikie did all the issues I think with Doug Moench writing.

I've never picked it up, but been meaning to for years.

cheers all

The portfolio was in addition to the convention booklets - I'm sure I've looked those booklets on the blog, I'll try and find a link
