I heard a rumour Disney+ is going to continue the series with the same cast?

The latest I've heard about this from that ever reliable source (ahem) Bleeding Cool

1506 is also the issue I got back on board with after my wilderness years - so that's an excellent choice!

Week 3 of Round 3 is ‘One and Done’ week with no fewer than 3 of the surviving Future Shockesque stories appearing. They all have very interesting ties and … well we’ll see. In my mind though, intriguing as those clashes are, is a modern masters face-off that is one of the ties of the Round for me, not everyone I imagine, but for me…

Two modern classics in one of the ties of the round for me. Kingdom has got Whet with Carver Hale in Round 2. Proteus Vex saw off Zippy Couriers. Now they meet in a tie that will leave at least one Tournament organiser in tears.

Just reply in this thread naming your favourite thrill of these two series at the beginning of your post (or use Bold tags so I can spot it easily) and say what you like about these wonderful stories after that.

Match ends early on the morning of Friday 27th May and the winner gets a place in Round 4 (of 9!!!).

What on Earth is ALL of this?

For those that need ‘um and can be bothered to follow ‘um there’s some simple rules

errrr I never right these in a rush in the morning and it does rather feel like this one deserves a good write up, or at least better than I'm going to give it now! Rogue Trooper flag bearer of the prog bested Harlem Heroes (Reboot) just using Helm... errr Time Twisters home of some of the truly great done in one and many of one A. Moore of Northamptons finest shorts. Most of them even the rubbish one would have seen of Moonrunner as they did in Round 2 mind... best I can do in a rush!

I'm going to say Prog 2282, simply because I like to think of the comic as an ongoing concern that I enjoy each week with the same shiver of thrillpower as I have done since I was six. That is tempered by the fact that I haven't been overly impressed with much this year so far, and thus this week's having a five for five hit rate immediately puts it in the top tier and served to show me that no, I'm not just going off it. When it does a prog like this week's, it's the best thing on the stands.

SBT

That sir is a great call.

And reminds of the answer I gave to a similar question not that long ago being - the next one. As there's nowt better than looking forward to another great Prog.

There have been some absolutely outstanding [Future Shocks] but not for a long time.

The last great FS was only four progs ago!

Its a fair point AND the one in the Regened issue was really good to. They might be hit and miss but those hits are far from in the past.

Cheers Colin! I'd love a JC Johnny Red page also. I have, however, run out of wall to hang anything else!

Isn't that what house extensions are for?

Twisted dark tales on offer here. Hookjaw conquered Silo at the box office and Strange and Darke caused controversy (in my head) by removing Hershey from the tournament. But which one has bitten off more than it can chew?

We’ll start off with one of the ‘Done in Ones’ the granddaddy of them all, the Poppa One Parter, vanquisher of Shirmura. For all its history, for their fundamental part in the Prog can they see off one of the truly great thrills, one which managed to spurn an even great Thrill (Loooook I have to do this I get to spout my opinion okay!) Insurrection has already seen off Abelard Snazz. Tough tie this one…

Cool. Let's start with REBUKE.

The best Slaine story arc is Warriors Dawn  (if we need a specific lets go Sky Carriots)

What a way to return - WOW! How are we meant to get to a decision here?

For now I'll go Prog 1634, which I always us as the marker for the new Golden Age (tm). Zombo start we have Cradlegrave, decent Dredd, Savage and prime Dante.

BUT if I get time I want to look for any The Out + Brink Progs (Barney doesn't go that far alas!)

VOTING CLOSED

If the other vote was a none event today this one was the opposite. This tie was really close and for me a real surprise, especially as Counterfiet Girl won the 'None Bad Company, Milligan vote' a real sign of the quality of the series. Strontium Dog is how a strip that ebbed and flowed across its history, or arguably spiralled ever downwards. Monsters was a good start and clearly strong enough as

Strontium Dogs

will be transforming in Round 4

14
VOTING CLOSED

No surprises and no contest here really. Bendatti got some love and vote, particularly for John Burns art but

Low Life

thuis time never changed leds getting into Round 4.

Daredevil Season 2 well its a good job I've heard such good things about Season 3 as getting there is beginning to feel a bit of a trial (no pun and all that). 7 episodes in and no tonal variance at all, not surprisingly I suppose - but why is there no window cleaners in Hell's Kitchen? Or cleaning products - well except in the appointments of posh baddies! Anyway while its got a lot of great new ideas (from the comics) to play with its turning into a lumbing cliche factory and its really beginning to bug me.

I'm going to get to Season 3,  but man its a lot harder work than the first 12 episodes of Season 1 made it seem like it was going to be!
