There was also something in this month's When Saturday Comes about WH Smith changing its sourcing policy and only selling mags from the major suppliers - meaning WSC will no longer be on the WHSmith stands.

Could this apply to 2000AD as well? Although I doubt my local WHSmith sells many as it puts both 2000ad and the meg in the same section as the Beano.

The original bungee jump is great fun. They'll even dip you in the river if you ask nicely.

It's the Nevis jump you've got to watch out for - 134m off a cable car into a ravine. By far the scariest thing I have ever done (and ever will do). Gives me goosebumps just to think about it.

Manage to stay composed enough to give the old Luke Skywalker Sarlacc pit salute before I jumped though.

This edition left me slightly flat and I'm struggling find out why.

Dredd was okay, but not as coherent as it should be. Koburn's little trek seems a bit pointless but it looks good.

Anderson has a creeping uneasiness about the witchcraft people which is promising and the way Jack Pot deals with the big Raptaur made me laugh out loud.

Black Siddha has lost its way somehwere. I was quite enjoying it, but I haven't really got a clue what's going on anymore and sadly I don't give a toss either.

Charley's is entertaining enough. Hell trekkers finishes on a strange downbeat note and the Metro Dredd is like an introduction to MC1. Absolutely nothing in it for regular readers, unlike some entertaining recent ones.

I think the cover is a bit pedestrian too, with no relevence to any of the storylines. Still there's the good news of an extra strip every month now.

Anyone else been left cold with this issue?

General / 2000ad terms entering everyday language 2

I said I'd do this - it's just taken me longer than I expected. I squeezed the term zarjaz into my publication. How many more 'unique' usages must it have to enter the dictionary?

It would have happened much, much sooner but one of my underlings added a reference to Judge Dredd, which I thought negated the use. You can't reference a unique usage after all.

Well here it the extract -

"....As Dinah Washington might have sung: ?What a difference a year makes?. Last summer we were in the throes of a heatwave and the casino industry both at home and abroad were joyfully enthused eagerly awaiting the zarjaz opportunities that the Gambling Bill was going to bring. In comparison...."

How about bidding ?5 for a ?2.99 Extreme Edition which has only recently come out?

Very simple way for people who didn't like AntWars to get something back for their efforts.

RE: Start of Dredd film

I'm sure they weren't all US reprints. Remember seeing a couple of mags that I had. Or am I mistaken? I fell asleep soon after James Earl Jones.

That'll be me then. Nice to know somebody's reading stuff at this time of night.

My feedback rating is just edging up to 40 at the moment, but I have started selling stuff to boost it up.

Sadly I have also found myself bidding on really cheap stuff just to get some feedback.

But doesn't it piss you off when you do a transaction and get no feedback! If only it were possible to take back the positive feedback you've already given them.

Okay - so maybe I'm not one of you!

Agreed with the rest of your extensive list though - apart from maybe Lock Stock. Quite enjoyed that one.

Heat. Only has a good 20 mins in and that's after 2 hours of bilge. Never come as close to walking out of a cinema in my life.

Never been as disappointed as when I watched third matrix film.

Star Trek Nemesis was also appallingly bad. Torquemeda wasn't even in it!
