Superb work by all. Love those sketches, Neil. Very stylish. Those beasties too, Jon. Terrific!

Couple of wips ready for brushing up. You may recognise a few of the characters from the house of Candlish and McLaughlin.

That chap in the middle looks familiar. I likes it!
An old-school, no-bullshit, boys-own action/adventure comic reminiscent of the 2000ads and Eagles and Warlords and Battles and other glorious black-and-white comics that were so, so cool in the 70's and 80's - Buy the hardback Christmas Annual!

Cheers guys,

Yeah, I saw the starburst cover Darren. Didn't help the self confidence one bit.  :o

The Spirit – one of my favourite comic strips. I was fortunate enough to see the 'Will Eisner's New York' exhibition in NYC last year at the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art. Amongst the artwork on display was an entire comic strip shown with original artwork which was amazing.

Need to get some better white out paint. I'll put a tidied up version up on my (very sparse) looking blog.

Wow, just wow Supersurfer that's just great.

Very jealous of you getting to that Eisner exhibition as he's one of my all time favs as is The Spirit specifically.

SuperSurfer

Thanks Colin. I'm currently reading The Spirit 'Femmes Fatales' collection which I bought for the measly price of £3 from a local bookshop. And it's printed on more or less newsprint paper which adds to the joy.

More excellent art on this  thread once again.

Was getting ready to draw Slaine and changed my mind and decided to draw Niamh instead.

It's all right, that's in every contract.
That's what they call a sanity clause.
You can't fool me, there ain't no sanity clause.

Wow, I rarely visit this thread, and always regret it. Flip, Ghost, and Supersurfer  really great stuff.
