Prog / Prog 2278 - Descend Into The Dark...
20 April, 2022, 04:24:47 AM
Another solid prog as we have expectations of a Dredd story not fully realized and one story comes to an end.

Dredd – Well so far, the story is going accordingly to certain expectations since the reveal of the other clone.
Dredd after the great escape takes out the "imposter" Dredd
. So, there must be more to this, but we have one more episode to hypothesis over what really is going on

Hope – This episode mostly focusing on Hope introducing himself with a lot talking. The episode ends with a big highlight.

Intestinauts – It is all out action here as the bots are engaging in the Batlle of the Fatberg. A lot of sacrifice as the battle looks all but lost. And then it is over as the battle is won with almost no survivors. This was a quick and done tale and is always a welcome distraction for reality and works as a filler between bigger series.

Fiends – Some interesting developments as who the real enemy unknown to Constanta is revealed. Another good episode and I cannot wait to see how Edginton steers the boat and in which direction.

Brink – In the darknets of the underworld we will get to understand a little more about how the sect came into existence. Another solid creepy episode plainly put another great episode from the creative team. I just waiting for the water to biol over.

When Day of Chaos super mega-epic ended it was the epic with the greatest number of episodes (48). It was an epic that left the world of Dredd in a devastated state. Mega City 1 was literally destroyed with almost the whole population wiped-out. Now we are years later, and we should still see the lasting effects of the chaos. So here we are do you believe:
-   The epic has a lasting effect on the city, the stories still reflect this
-   The epic had a few stories afterwards, but we do not see the effect anymore
-   The epic did not really change the landscape of what we are seeing
-   The epic should never had seen the light of day
-   The epic should have left nothing standing not enough destruction
-   Huh, never heard about this!!!!
-   Any alternative views please tell us

We all remember those times when the prog really went through a big dip in quality as it was trying to find the next Wagner or Mills (the 90s). We are talking about the new breed of writers to bring their new style to the prog. Some off the regular readers called it the Dark Ages of the Prog as a lot of readers left in this period. The next generation of writers left the prog and made huge differences in the States. Now whom of the wave of new writers do you believe was the most successful outside the prog and which was most successful within the prog? So, you have two votes one for best for the prog and one for the best outside the prog. Here are your candidates:
-   Garth Ennis
-   Mark Millar
-   Grant Morrison

What is your 3 favorite covers where the logo was used effectively or differently to supplement the cover (this was inspired by Cliff Robinson's cool cover for prog 2274). It is also important to note what was the norm of the logo that stage since the logo has evolved with time and had a few changes.

So below are the choices you have, and it you feel something is missed add it but also add the images of the cover as well.

-   We have multiple annuals but different ones each year

-   I was there at the beginning and here I am still reading
-   I was there at the beginning and lapsed but I am back
-   I started in the 70s and I am still reading
-   I started in the 70s and lapsed but I am back
-   I started in the 80s and I am still reading

-   I started in the 90s and lapsed but I am back
-   I started in the rebellion years, and I am still reading
-   I started in the rebellion years, and lapsed but I am back
