He is one of the most beloved writers for the prog/meg and everything he wrote is just plainly different and unique but in a good way. We are talking about John Smith (Side Note: please come back).

So, you can guest what this vote is about, what is your favorite John Smith penned story:
-   Indigo Prime
-   Devlin Waugh
-   New Statesmen
-   Tyranny Rex
-   Rogue Trooper: "Cinnabar"
-   Revere
-   Firekind
-   Slaughter Bowl
-   Pussyfoot 5
-   A Love Like Blood
-   Leatherjack
-   Dead Eyes
-   Cradlegrave
-   Strange and Darke
When I die, I want to die like my grandfather who died peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

Old age is the Lord's way of telling us to step aside for something new. Death's in case we didn't take the hint.

If I'd known it was harmless I would have killed it myself.

Tricky one to choose and I nearly went for Cinnabar but Cradlegrave is a masterwork of horror.
You're a dark horse, Boots.

1) Indigo Prime: Killing Time (that one story specifically)
2) Cradlegrave
3) Devlin Waugh: the Herod Epic

Blue Cactus

Don't think I can pick a favourite. Leatherjack, Cradlegrave and Cinnabar would be close contenders.

credo

1) Indigo Prime: Killing Time
2) Revere
3) Tyranny Rex: Deus Ex Machina
4) Firekind
5) Devlin Waugh (particularly for Swimming in Blood and the Chasing Herod cycle)
6) Cinnabar (is this the best ever Rogue story?)
7) Leatherjack
8) Cradlegrave

Feck, this is hard.  One of my absolute favourite script droids.  I'll go with
1. Cradlegrave
2. Cinnabar
3.  Firekind
"Men will never be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest"

The Mind of Wolfie Smith

cradlegrave

but new statesmen from the wider stable, easily.

Richard

It's a tough choice, but I'm going with Firekind.

Devlin Waugh (Sirius Rising / Reign of Frogs / Herod arc especially) and Cinnabar are close contenders for me though. Also the very first Devlin Waugh story.

I don't imagine it's going to change any votes, but there are a few thrills missing there.

  • Tales From Beyond Science
  • Tharg's Future Shocks
  • Tharg's Terror Tales
  • Inside Moves
  • Order of the Beast
  • Danzig's Inferno
  • Pulp Sci-Fi

Also, for the Meg:

  • Heavy Metal Dredd
  • Holocaust 12
  • Judge Karyn
  • Tales From the Black Museum
  • Strange Cases
