Well I'll be saw this over at Bleedingcools daily round up

QuoteGrendel and Mage Creator Would Love It If Someone Made His Comics Into Games

Wagner: I will get back to drawing. Most likely the next thing I'll draw will be the third volume of Mage.

Okay so the 'headline' has nowt to do with the text below BUT who cares, just look at the text below.

Anyway I popped across to the interview at

http://kotaku.com/5944306/grendel-and-mage-creator-would-love-it-if-someone-made-his-comics-into-games

and he added the following.

QuoteKotaku: You mentioned the third volume of Mage. Dare I ask what's going on with that?

Wagner: Honestly, John Tower knocked it off schedule. I thought I would have been working on Mage at this point, and then Tower came up...

So that's exciting, fingers crossed no-one else pops along with any other exciting offers. Come comics industry can we just ignore Matt Wagner for the next couple of years please!

The original Mage was one of my favourite books, but I only stuck a couple of issues of Mage 2 because I thought it was horrifically dull -- did it get better as the run progressed?

I'm pretty much a massive fan of anything by Matt Wagner I've read. Even his Zorro run which got a right old kicking off some parties when it started... so I'm probably not the best person to ask that as I only have a stock answer of hell yeah its great!

Jim- I'm a pretty massive Wagner Fan as well, and I was pretty satisfied with Mage II. I re-read it last year and it still works, not as well as the first volume, but that was lightning in a jar as far as I was concerned.

Wow is it really over 120 days since I first saw this... anyway Jamie S. Rich of It Girl fame (well for me, those in the know will almost certainly know a hell of a lot more about the fella) has a new online 'telly show' discussing comics and the creative process. The first of these (I think) is basically an hour long interview with Matt Wagner. All of which is of course worth watching, its incredibly interesting how lost in Matt working they both seem to get rather than purcusing a particular point in part 2!

Anyway the reason for posting this here, aside from the need to put it somewhere as for any Wagner (the other one, not our one) fans its a must watch, is the fact that in part two Matt Wagner once again says yep Mage 3 is up next for him. Soooo looking forward it that!
