This was the last I heard of it over at FrazerIrving.com:

Talking of creative freedom, GUTSVILLE has been cancelled from Diamond's books for teh time being because noone was sure when the next issue would ship, which is fair (though I would have rather not found out reading about it on twitter) but allow me to reassure loyal readers that I am still going to finish the story...

Its thanks to Gutsville that i stopped shoping at Sheffield's Forbidden Planet.
Twice i asked them to put me a copy aside, and did they ever bother? Did they f*ck!

Still, what can a man expect from a toy shop?

And surely cos Sheffield Space Centre is nicer, has better service and is considerably cheaper???

There is that, yes  :)

I remember when Gutsville issue one came out. I'd been sent some fliers and bookmarks by Si Spurrier to pass around the comic shops.
The staff in Forbidden Planet refused to have them on the counter, whereas the guys at the Space Centre seemed genuinely excited to have such exclusive items in their possession.
Suffice to say the Space Centre got all the promos! (and hopefully all the sales!)

Well that should read 2011 now but anyway some hope that it will one day appear. It would seem that Fraser Irving has tweeted, in response to a question about whether he was involved in the DCnU this September

QuoteFor all interested parties, I do have a post-relaunch DC gig but it's a secret at the mo  And Gutsville still needs finishing...

So there's a little hope out there!

QuoteThe artist told Newsarama he couldn't comment on his "possible work with DC." But he's working on the much delayed Image series Gutsville and promised it will be released "before the winter is here, come Hell or high water."

I've managed to get married, have 2 kids and move house in between issues.

Now all I need to do is remember what I did with the previous ones so I can remind myself what it was all about.

really looking forward to this, also this news from the same linky about/from Jock:

"After I finish Detective #881, I'll be drawing Snapsot, a creator-owned, high-concept mini-series I've been planning with Andy Diggle for some years. Should be out at the end of the year in the U.K., with a U.S. release in 2012."

is that Snapsot or Snapshot (or indeed Snotsnap)?

Maybe once he's finished Gutsville, he can take over on Big Numbers.

How do you like this for a necropost.

Anyway Bleeding Cool are speculating that Gutsville might be making a come back with some decent evidence for once???
