We won't know how well it is doing until the +7 figures come in, maybe even the +28, though the biggest boost seems to be within the week after broadcast, with fewer people being added after that.

Only that IRON TEETH seems to be a child-murdering underground monster whose initials are IT, which is the name of Stephen Kings famous child-killing monster that lives in the sewers. It might be nothing (at least that's my reading of it)

Far from predicting the future of crime ridden cities I think Mega City 1 was more a version of the, then present-day New York and other US cities of the late 70's. Or at least the movie version of them you'd see in the UK.

There is a very steep decline in violent crime in the UK from 1995 onwards. It was steeply up until 95! Perhaps the changing situation in Northern Ireland had a strong influence on the numbers.

Volumes 146 and 148 are currently unknown. They and volume 169 will be issues 178, 179 and 180 the website might be updated in a few weeks so we should know more then. The 2000ad Facebook announced in December that the series will end at volume 200.
