The rumours about DCs next weekly comics have just been confirmed

Have to say I really hope this finds an audience as I think its a great idea and really good to see DC trying something, well if not exactly new, then at least different for todays market place. Having seen some of Kyle Bakers preview work for his Hawkman strip this alone will be worth the price, add to that I'm pretty certain this will be the home of the Giaman + Allred Metamorpho strip and you got a winner. I'm definately going to be supporting this book.

Given that it only has a 12 week run understandably it would seem that DC hedging their bets and aren't convinced it will work today so it would be interesting to see what people here think?

Blimey you read my mind. I was just about to post about the same thing.

I obviously began to think about how this would work for Tharg. I would love to see a 2000ad supplemental publication which has some out of continuity classic interpretations of 2000ad greats drawn by the best artists and writers who've worked for the weekly.

Tharg could print it on cheaper paper and then collect them all a couple of months later.

Just have a look at this and tell me Wednesday Comics isn't something to be excited about. It looks amazing!
