I was always a fan of the short story 'The Rats in the Walls'.

Technically Nyarlathotep is an avatar (look it up) of the outer gods (from memory)... current incarnation = [insert topical joke here]

Art

Nyarlatep has been known to appear as a mysterious individual wearing a fez...

"Shouldn?t that be "The ancient and decaying hamlet of Pretson, each arcane wind and turn in its witch-haunted streets suggesting vile secrets of antiquity"?"

You don't really *need* to say that - most people are aware of it. Although if asked, there is an easier arcane eldritch phrase commonly used to describe the place....

"Auuuup N'aaath"

Byron: Oh, yeah, the rats in the walls.

The was incredibly creepy, and very simple stuff.

Good recommendation.

Noticed a shiney hardback in Waterstones the other day, with a name something along the lines of 'Shadows over Baker Street' which combines Lovecraft with Conan Doyle - probably the two most pastiched writers. I forget the editor but the usual suspects are involved in the writing side, Poppy Z. Brite, Neil Gaiman and so on.

Generally Contrary

Lovecraft is a licenced sex shop in Cardiff.

I've got this on X-box...

Just a little rough and tumble, Judge man.

I done't thin I have found any other referverances to Cthulu mythos  other than in Slaine ( Fomorians are bit like Deep Ones, Cythrons, The Dark Gods and the Worm go itself.) , Nemesis the Warlock, ( The dark Gods are also mention here.), Finn ( And Here.)

I had once broughht a cheap novel called  'Cold Print' which has few well known Lovecraftian stories in included.

I have been intending to buy the Dungeon and Dragons rules for the cthulu mythos. Just to find out more about it all.

Who was the author who had made up a god creautre that was supposed to be opposite in alignment to the Cthuluu itself?

A good or sane god creature.

Dog Deever. I stumbled across that game website about a week and a half ago.  I was looking for the demo for the PC version and found out that was never any demo released. The game apparently was recalled shortly after it's distribution. about two years ago now is it?
Anywhow I would have been interested in seeing how the city of the Deep Ones turned out.

Has any noticed any similarity betwen the face of H.P. LoveCraft and Carlos Ezquerra's version of Judge Dredd.

Was it recalled on all formats, Thryllseeker? Do you know the reason? I've got it on X-box, can't remember where from.
It is filled with gameplay beyond mortal understanding- as I played I sank into the deepest stygian depths of despair and frustration as i frantically chanted a foul litany:
"what the fuck am I supposed to do next, you bastard",
endlessly repeated as some ritual from an ancient, long lost civilisation. And as I sank deeper and deeper, a gateway was opened, from which appeared yet another game- Rogue Trooper!
So I killed some Norts and lived happily ever after!
Just a little rough and tumble, Judge man.

I'm not sure. I only asked in Electronic Boutique last week and they couldn't find the game on any platform and told me that it was not in distrubution for long.

As you say, you didn't sound to impressed with the game yourself.

Must of had to many bugs.
