Very excited to see 1/6th Dredd, the delays in the 1/12th stuff is to bad, but the product they put out is usually fantastic and well worth the wait. I really would like to see Johnny, Slaine, or Rogue next.

Was an okay issue, Layman is a great writer, but also usually uses a lot of comedy. He did a short run on Detective Comics and the big series he is known for is all about food crimes and is very over the top, it has a cyborg rooster that is a killing machine and battles things like Pengthulu or Mecha Turducken

......how long did we wait for the return of Bad Company?

At least 3A stuff is worth the wait.  ;)

I still don't get their release schedule though. Why wasn't Dredd first?
I'd have thought Dredd, Strontium Dog and ABC Warriors, because of their skill in making robots, would've come first.   :-\

I would love some Bad Company characters, but cannot wait for Johnny and hopefully Wulf.

I have a couple 3A products and you get what you pay for they take time to make the product right. These are a lot cheaper then the other items I have gotten from them. When they did Metal Gear Ray it went about a year with no email updates and then it shipped out. Was well worth the wait and they did a great job, I expect the same for Dredd and Dark Judges. As mentioned above they would not be able to make these if the money was not up front. I also order stuff from Sideshow and just had a delay on something that was fully paid, they wipe all your payments and keep the preorder then charge you again a couple weeks later with an updated date. I vastly prefer the 3A way of just delaying and holding on to the money until it is ready.

Delays seem to happen with 3A, but the quality is generally top notch. I have the Metal Gear Rex and Ray they put out and the amount of detail they do is absurd. Would much rather them take time to do it right and put out the best figure possible.

Hmm interesting read thank you! I was hoping with Zenith release we might get a reprint of Big Dave but sounds like it is time to hunt down the Progs it was published in.

I have been reading and collecting a lot of 2000 AD lately and have only read a little bit of Big Dave a long time ago, I am wondering why this book is not collected? It seems weird that a book that features big name writers like Morrison and Millar does not have a collected edition.

One of the best Dredd stories ever, America isn't collected in the Case Files.

If your budget can stretch to a used copy of The Complete America and the self explanatory Origins you're set to start reading modern classics like Tour of Duty and Day Of Chaos, which can be enjoyed before you've worked your way through the earliest material without feeling like you're out of the loop:

I already have Origins and ordered America, once done I will have to give those other books a try. Now if I could only find a copy of Nemesis the Warlock that has books 1 - 4. The deviant edition seems to only have 1 - 3.

Just ordered Strontium Dog: Search/destroy Agency Files 1 - 4 and will be ordering The Complete America this weekend.

I will have to grab the new ABC Warrior hardcover coming out at the end of the month also, thanks for all the wonderful suggestions I will be looking into all of them and reading as much 2000 AD as possible.

As someone whose collection is pretty much made up of Judge Dredd, Rogue Trooper, Strontium Dog, Nemesis and A.B.C. Warriors I think you will be off to a good start with those. I don't know how easily they are to come by in North America but you might want to look into Nikolai Dante as well. I hear it has quite the following on this board. Happy reading.

Yeah sadly they are not easy to get in the US been ordering them from the UK Amazon.

General / Judge Dredd The Complete Case Files

Hello all I have a general question about the The Complete Case Files and The Restricted Files. I live over in the US and have recently got into Dredd and Rogue Trooper and notice they have different covers over here then what is on the 2000AD store. I have tried to find information on plans for the US Restricted Files and more Complete Case Files but I cannot find any information about how these are being released in the US and was hoping someone on here might have more info.

I have also just subscribed to 2000 AD and learning about all the great comics they have done, any suggestions on what are some other good strips? I plan on checking out ABC Warriors, Slaine, Nemesis the Warlock, and Strontium Dog.

Just finished Zenith for the first time and mind was blown, read this thread cleared some stuff up and going in for the second reading. Thought Phase IV was a good way to wrap up the story but defiantly a book that requires multiple readings.
