Was that in the Megazine? I don't remember any of this.

Nero Narcos: Did anybody else think it was odd that his robot surrendered and was so well behaved? Considering that Narcos was just a "brain in a bottle" he could have just moved house, so to speak. (I remember Dredd asking for analysis of the brain tissue, but they never TOLD us it was definately Narcos)

Just a thought

I agree with you that an epic is well-overdue, but I only want to read one if Wagner has one to tell. The nero narcos stuff the other year was only so so. I much prefer to read a solid tale like Sin city or the Pit.

Mind you, with Mr Bones from 1316 and the GI Judges, I feel that something may be brewing.

The Balls brothers was fine, compared to ACE trucking.

And it gave us an excuse to see more Kev Walker (not a bad thing)

Shame, really. I wonder if Biz finds it quicker to paint as opposed to ink? His painting IS superb, but the look was copied by so many.

Funny thing about this is that at the time i absolutely hated the SMS episodes, but now they look superb and really stand up.

Comparing this to the last ABC strip, I think Mek-quake should get called up for Liam Sharpe. His scribble really was awful (and it was the most shameful steal of Jesse Custer I have seen), mind you Mike McMahon can still cut it with the best.

It say the "F" word in all its glory back in the original Titan ABC warriors book four (third from last ep. Joe kneeling as he shoots)

I can't believe I have had that for all these years and never noticed!!

I would imagine that this "illness" will creep along slowly for a few stories and then the Norts will find out about it and work out how to trigger it off. It will probably then end with rogue getting patched up by the Milli-com bloke from the Dylan Teague illustrated story where the disease was mentioned. This will leave Rogue back in his state of grace.

I am not even going to mention Strontium dog and new "old" stories. Other threads have far more to say on that, but if Rennie can tell a story with some good exploration of Rogue then that is great.

Matt Smith was on screen, Kev walker sketched Dredd in biro, and Sean phillips told us how much he loves wolverine!

Batman, superman, Spider-man, X-men, Judge Dredd, Wonder woman, can't remember, Akira, Witchblade ??? and Tintin were the ten.

Thanx McNulty. I've had an idea of linking the two stories and you confirm what I need to plot either a 2000ad based "past imperfect" or a reasonable future shock.

Cheers

I remember that, but surely that wasn't the official end? Didn't he get to go out blasting Volgs?

Can any one tellme what happened to Bill Savage at the end of Invasion? I read disaster 1990, and then found out about the older story. Did he die?

Also, is the Volgan war in invasion the same volgan war that spawned the ABc warriors?

Enquiring minds!

My eleven year old is just beginning to get interested (He likes Dredd, but he doesn't 'get' sinister dexter.)

I agree that there isn't a 'hook' strip at the moment, but you never know with the chrimbo prog on the way.

The UK captain Britain mag from the early '90s had some good text pieces with alternate captains in. I am sure one or more of them was written by Grant morrison. Some good art as well.

There were six Wild card books published in the UK. All with lovely Bolland covers. It is a shame they never got around to any more.

I remember the one about the trees, no-one else believed him did they? I 'm still not fond of gardening (Can't tell the wife why though)

Jaws has left me with a fear of open water as well. And the local swimming pool has tile lane markers that end with a T shape followed by a water inflow screen. I can't get near.
