General / "Cutaway" Judge Dredd Lawgiver Mk II
11 September, 2008, 12:48:20 PM
Jason Willbourn of Stentor Industries makes the Judge Dredd Lawgiver Mark II, Strontium Dog Westinghouse blaster, Alpha helmet and Electronux for Termight Replicas. He has just made a new run of lawgivers and decided to make a special transparent "cutaway" version for himself. It appears on the letters page of Prog 1603 but here are larger photos of the gun.

It contains six types of round, all with different shapes, and Jason has tried to make the weapon look like it would really work. This version of the lawgiver is a one-off, and will not be made available through Termight Replicas.

Users of the old board were limited to having 32x32 pixel avatars. At the moment, I've kept this restriction in place on the new forum, though I am allowing mini-banners of up to 128 pixels wide so long as they are still 32 pixels tall. The reason for this is so that short posts do not take up more vertical space than necessary. Please vote on this poll to let me know what you think I should do. The reason I'm offering 90x90 and 100x100 instead of 96x96 pixels is because 90x90 is the size of the mini-pics that appeared on the old droid/thrill profile pages  and 100x100 is a common choice on other boards.

Film & TV / Prince Caspian
07 July, 2008, 10:45:36 AM
I saw this yesterday with my son, Finn, and we both loved it. It's so refreshing to watch a Narnian story other than The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. The battle scenes were great, and the bit part from
Jadis
served to highlight that
Peter and Edmund aren't so different after all. Even the best can be tempted when faced with difficult decisions.
Classifieds / FS: Complete collection in Canada
26 June, 2008, 11:39:19 AM
I used to ship comics out to someone in Canada for his friend who has since passed away. There should be a complete collection of progs, megazines and lots of Titan graphic novels (but not Zenith I think). Is anyone interested in buying any of it? Obviously it would make sense for it to be someone in Canada or the USA.

Cheers,

General / Reaction Figures Rarities
22 May, 2008, 12:47:07 PM
I've just bought a couple of rare Reaction Figures from Jon Bayliss.

This Slaine was the first test version. He doesnt have any props as they were made much later and his hands are brown because they were made from a different density PVC (which happened to be a different colour). Unfortunately, his arms are broken at the shoulders, but he can stand up without them falling off.

The Mean Machine was the original sculpt of the second wave of action figures, with a scratch built arm. It was later rescuplted in a more dynamic pose, though of course neither went into production. As far as I know, this is the one that was displayed at DreddCon:1 in November, 2000. Does anyone have any photos of the second wave? Apparently the Rogue Trooper was a heavily modified Strontium Dog.

I have had permission from Rebellion to go ahead with Judge Dredd belt buckles. Michael Carroll and I have been working on the design and I have just uploaded the latest draft to the http://www.termight.co.uk/buckle.html">Termight Replicas site.

Through the site, the pre-order price for this buckle is £39.95 post free, but I am offering a special early bird (eagle) price of £30 including postage to anyone who can pay me by cash or cheque by Monday 19th May. I will be at Bristol this weekend, or you can send me a cheque, in which case email me or look at the Termight Yahoo group if you don't have my address.

The buckle will be made by the same company who made the Dredd badge, so I'm confident that it will be a top quality product. Since the design has not yet been finalised, I would welcome any comments you might have.  Also, I have not yet decided whether to go for two belt loops on the back as per the SD Studios movie belt buckle
http://www.2000ad.nu/termight/props/sd_buckle_back.jpg">
or a standard buckle back with one loop and a spike such as

Help! / div question
18 December, 2007, 10:27:55 AM
I've just changed the logo on The 2000AD Artwork gallery and added a banner. Since the logo and banner images are overlapping, I decided to try and be good and use divs.

For some reason Firefox shows the divs in different positions from IE. Please could some helpful soul explain why this is happening and whether there's a way around it. At the moment what I've done is positioned the divs so that the "Sponsored by" is completely visible in Firefox and completely hidden in IE.

Cheers,

Wake

These photos of the Termight Replicas Judge Dredd helmet were all taken on the Sunday afternoon at Birmingham. Apologies to anyone whose name I've forgotten, and thank you to everyone who donned the helmet. There seem to be a lot of jaws pointing to the sky!

For everyone currently waiting for a helmet, Jon is going to try and get as many as possible shipped by the end of this month.

Cheers,

Wake
