Cheers MumboJimbo, glad it helped with the re-read.  I had similar thoughts when re-reading the previous 'dimension-jumping' arc, it all fits together much better than you expect from reading it in dribs and drabs over however many years.

Have to say I never made the connection between the art style and the changes to Download, but now you point it out it makes sense, will be interesting to keep an eye on where things go.  Download certainly felt like a key character in the early days, very much as MC-1 is to Dredd.

One thing occurred to me about the less frequent appearances we have now, perhaps that's Dan's choice? (Well, as much as Tharg lets droids have a choice in these things).  SinDex has covered a lot of ground over its 25 years, and all from one writer.  Maybe this is a way to keep it going but without burning through material, and at the same time frees Mr Abnett's creative energy for all his other projects.

Funt - I do have a list of Nikolai Dante stories (in the same form as the SinDex pdf posted at the start of this thread), but no reading guide.  Will have a dig around and post it at the weekend if no-one else has anything.

  Unable to test, but installed fine on release.  Includes original instructions, subscription flyer.  Also includes a review of the Virgin Dredd game torn out of Zzap!64 April 1991 which I must’ve put in there at some stage for some reason.
• Cassette: Judge Dredd the Original Adventures, Vols 1-2 (Apocalypse War; The Day the Law Died) (Speaking Volumes / BBC Radio 1, 1995) : £7.50 + £2 p&p
  Audio dramas by Dirk Maggs.  Both cases have a 1 inch split, one on the cover, one on the spine, but not too noticeable.  Tapes have not been played for years, and I can’t test them now, but have been stored carefully and were fine on release.

Announcements / Re: Dave Evans, R.I.P.

Shocking to hear this news, my thoughts go out to his family and friends.  I didn't know Dave, but had a brief email exchange shortly after I joined the forum which always stuck in my mind.  He was after one of the FCBD progs, so I messaged him to say I'd send him mine, put it in the post and thought nothing further of it.  A few days later the latest Zarjaz popped through the letterbox - he had sent it as a 'thank-you'.   It was an unexpected and kind gesture, and helped make me feel that this was a pleasant and friendly corner of the internet.  RIP.

Glad to report the dimensions should hold together, a thorough search showed no other thrill-power to be found in the envelope…

I don’t have the other books in the series (yet…), but I can (ahem) shine… a light on the following:

Books of Invasions 1: Shiny (Sep 2006, 2nd printing)
Books of Invasions 2: Shiny (Jul 2006, 1st printing)
Books of Invasions 3: Shiny (Jul 2007, 1st printing)
The Wanderer: Matt (Apr 2013, 2nd printing)
Book of Scars: Shiny (Nov 2013, 1st printing)
Brutania 4: Shiny (Aug 2018, 1st printing)

So it’s flipped back and forth between shiny and matt, I’m guessing this one is shiny by design.  The question is what format will Dragontamer take…

As you say all great books, I probably lean towards preferring the shiny format.  And to get a spine reference back in, they all feature Slaine artwork on the spine except Brutania 4 (and presumably 1-3).
