I know the species has been nicknamed hobbit, but  the should really be called Ebu Gogo, as that's what the natives called them

Actually they should be called what they called themselves (if they called themselves anything at all)but we don't know that *yet, fingers crossed*

Would any response on my part actually be required in the event of such a discovery? I'd probably watch it on the news, say 'fancy that', and go back to whatever I was doing before.

Although the response about getting a hunting party together got a chuckle out of me.
