Steam are now selling this game for almost fifty dollars. I tired to by it , but my bank won't allow me to use my account until I have my card. Damn!

Anyway, I should save my money anyway.

Any advice, anybody advise against this game or anything?

Sorry, if this has already been posted, but I tried find a original post, and nothing cam up.

Been getting a lot of bad reviews, though I'm not sure why, as it's a perfectly competent open-world actioner at least as good as the last Just Cause game I played - a couple of rough edges, but nothing that interferes with gameplay (no interim animations between you entering and leaving a garage area, for instance).  Current scuttlebutt is that anything that threatens to look like a big release is being played down by the games media so as not to interfere with Metal Gear 5 getting sucked off by every website that needs advertising revenue, but your mileage may vary on the credibility of such a theory, as I am personally pretty sure a Metal Gear game doesn't need much help shifting copies.

A couple of things I don't like about Mad Max would be the colour scheme - the sky is too blue and clear and combined with spectacular backgrounds it often looks like a painting you'd want on your wall rather than the end of the world - and the wasteland feeling a bit crowded because you can see all the various settlements and landmarks from miles away, and enemies spawn a lot along the many, many roads still clearly in heavy use.  Fallout manages to keep even a crowded place like Nevada looking deserted and desolate, but Mad Max's playing area seems like it could be a mildly-populated bit of the Middle East or something.
I can see die hard boy racers maybe not liking that you start out with a shitty car and have to build it up over time, and racing is easy even with the (deliberately) atrocious handling.

I'd wait for it to go down in price, or buy a second-hand copy.

I brought it after watching some a video of some game play.

Reminds me of Elite Dangerous or Red Dead Redemption with cars.

Still clearing space on a hard drive to fit the game, uploading some pictures to Facebook

Cancelled my trip to Sydney to see Good-Game-Live.

Sadly, I'm to tired , physically and emotionally after having off day yesterday....

Was banned from some adult chat rooms yesterday, but I live up to my username.....

They have some of rules about what you should say to the broadcasters.

The I ordered two family sized pizzas, some garlic bread and some Pepsi-Max last night and ate everything and went into a bloated sleep. When I was younger I used to be able to finish two pizza's in less than half a hour. The first one within the first ten minutes I used to order them while on night shift as Rail-Way-Porter on public station with my supervisor.

Sorry, for going off topic, but all is relevant.

This was made earlier this morning.

Just shows how frustrating it is to be waiting that long for game to processed, update, start-up on my machine!

ThryllSeekyr

Started playing this earlier on and was initially impressed with the visuals for the settings, after putting all graphical options up to the absolute maximum. As well as how some of the gameplay was handled!
It's that Max (Who isn't either of Mel Gibson or Tom Hardy!) moves really slow for action film character in a game or maybe this is just mortality. You know how he was in the second film after being beaten up and left for dead. You really need to watch that film again to get that and no joke.

He doesn't stealth, use parkour, Jump/Climb and he barely runs. The combat is like simplified version the original Batman - Arkham Asylum. Although some or the lot of you may not get this. I 'm saying so, because combat starts out as with Fisti-Cuffs, no throwing or wrestling  and there isn't even kicking. Unless his sparring partner is already on the ground and waiting for the final blow. A little later, I found he could draw his shot gun and fire on them at point blank during melee. I assume he can do the same from long distance, but it's not so quick and easy as you might think. Other wise the part of the game was very satisfactory  and yet not so much the cinematic or quick-time event you might get with Batman, The Witcher, Shadow of Mordor. These games are well known for the ease of combat. Once you have mastered the controls. While in this game, there is less auto-targeting and you need to be on the ball a bit more. Once again the lot of you may not agree.

I think the visuals are almost as vast and jaw dropping as Red Dead Redemption, and yet it does'nt feel so much as a flexible open world game. Which is kind of bad for game of today, but I am still impressed and was comparing the opening location. Where the controls for  Max are first handed over to me. He's in this small box canyon, that I kept comparing to Rogue Trooper and the resembalance stops just here.

Yeah, so far in the game story, where Max first encounters Chum (Lyrically-waxing Poet/Mechanic!) and that dog, then his large boat garage. (Reversing the physics of the T.A.R.D.I.S. by being much smaller on the inside, vast on the outside and when can we actually have the excellent Dr Who open-world, open place, open time game! It's possible to do this, but I've only seen crappy less epic attempts!) and we go hunting for a chassis to connect to the basic frames of the replacement for his old car that was scrapped by the bad-guys. Was Interceptor - Black on Black and now Magnum Opus How weird that this car could be named after somebodies finest work. Not that I'm knocking it, it's just strange words can be used that way and it's also fitting in the world filled with things that are strangely tagged.

Right now, he's busy raiding the token desert bandit camps and removing them all by himself and always with Chum hanging off the back of his new, but unfinished ride. I was going to compare the process of collecting scrap and then being back to use this to upgrade the car back in the garage to Elite Dangerous but that would be silly and yet there are still parallels.

My worst feeling about this game is that the open worldness of it may be a much as a illusion as the other game's open space that is really just filled with space and the connected by parts of play that Max has no choice but o follow a narrow and pre-determined course. So far, there no more than only one way to complete some objectives, which really brought me down.

The car handling is like most other car racing games without even use of gears and until I apply the turbo-charger, it only goes at one speed. it also never lands on it's side or roof, no matter how much I try and never loses any part of it's body after any collisions.

However, I have only scratched the surface of this game and I'm being drip-fed new abilities that slowly widen the horizon's however deceptively wide they seem already. So far, the playing area appear to be a slight mountainous, slightly hilly desert platueu (That was once a major ocean!) over looking canyons and other depths obscured by with thick white mist and those pinnacle rock like formations (Which I have seen while holidaying in Perth!) in the distanced.

I hope this game really opens up so what and this part is still the beginning. Maybe they will patch this game...severely. Right now, it I couldn't even associate it with any of the films, even if it appears to have the right a parts.
Currently uploading videos which are much shorter than the other ones I have made in the past. Just so they upload quicker and are easier to watch.

That wasn't the video I thought it was, because when I saw that it was the last one I uploaded. I thought it the first one I made, seeing as it does start out the same way with screen-saver title screen being allowed to roll until it goes fill circle.

Anyway, I haven't been able to complete anymore missions on this game since I reached Skeet's Light-House-Fort, where it seems like a coalition of the Tribes of the Earth-Goddess and Fomorians have joined forces and over run Myrddin's fortress of Dinas Emrys for them selves....

Because the game often freezes  forcing me to shut the game down without saving, and on top of this. It doesn't recognise any of my saves games beyond reaching the fortress. It did the same thing since before then, by not recognising any saves after having the abandon Chum-Bucket's garage-fortess inside the large oil-tanker boat.

Does that mean Chum is a grossly disfigured Deacon

Who actually cheated death (I know it didn't really pan out this way, but just go with it!) in Water-World (Or it could that the world of Mad-Max is Slaine's Land of the Dead (One of the four L worlds.) and this happened when Waterworld eventually dried up!)  and that garage fortress of was remains the Exxon-Valdez....

Now, I know none of this makes sense at al, but just go with it pls ;)

You-Tube has finally uploaded this for me.....

First Ever Play of Mad-Max - Reminds Me of Rogue Trooper.....

Just take note of the date  and realise how long I waited on and off for this to finally upload.....amongst other game videos and my claims that how the part where he drops into small canyon or dry cannel at the start reminds me of the beginning of Rogue Trooper. Yes, I understand you may think this is another pointless delusion of mine and not actually a infringement of any kind, but it's just one of those things where I saw connection very briefly.

Rogue Trooper - Mission One - Watch at 5 : 30

Watching that video is like forum inception.

Spikes

If you click the video into full screen mode, it's like you have suddenly become Thryllseekyr, or at least taken over his PC.

BTW, and I couldn't help but notice - You may want to empty your inbox, and spam folders! ;-)

The best bit: right at the beginning, where, having started videoing what he's doing, he gets up and leaves the room for several minutes, leaving us staring at his desktop.  Zarjaz!

TS - it's possibly a crazy idea, but wouldn't it be better to begin the video at a point where you're actually ready to start playing the game, and miss out the ten minutes of you downloading it?

Keef Monkey

Had a quick skim through and landed on the part about 10minutes in when the camgirl and porn sites appear. You know that's in there right? Really might be an idea to check these videos before you upload them?

Laugh it up, you guys - but this'll totally win the Turner Prize next year!
