Announcements / Re: 3A Toys/Rebellion Press Release

Really like there tee-shirts, colours and what not. Would be intrigued to see what they did for 2000ad in that line.

Yeah couldn't agree more about Lobster Random. As I've said before on here its one of the best examples of how to construct a larger story using short, self contained episodes. Almost reads like a master class in how this can be done and how a 2000ad story should therefore be written. In the way it does this I think its structured like Nemesis Book 1, certainly the first half of that classic.

Thought I recognised it and Barney confirmed a pretty exact copy of the cover of Prog 374

So far I've only read the two Flash issues (70s and 80s) but both of those have been really good fun. Hopefully this fella is waiting for me in my LCS when I visit this weekend.

You certainly get a lot for your £2.99 with this. Still very much looking forward to it and hope that the initial comicbook only release doesn't hurt it too much. I do wonder how well it can do using only this channel. Mind people far wiser than me will have it all planned out I'm sure.

Much as I love that Scorpion one it harks back to an earlier cover, in fact Prog 3 (as ever Barney provides).

"Shoot me boss! Don't let it eat me ALIVE!"

But could anything top this for pure lunacy?

Well its getting close and so we'll finally have stuff to talk about soon. In the meantime the movie theatre and TV slots for NuDC.

(Discovered via BleedingCool http://www.bleedingcool.com/2011/08/17/dc-comics-new-52-movie-theater-trailer-debuts/)

Kinda rubbish, but then they're not aimed at me I guess and I could see them being really quite cool seen properly in the cinema by younger folk who like the very definition of bland generic 'rock' riffs.

I for one really really loved those stupid APES (damnit) thought it was a great story.
C'mon Colin. Everyone knows you're a rampaging monkey ape-ologist. I thought the first half of that story was pretty decent but then it suddenly changes tack halfway through and goes straight down the pan.

I feel bad that as I was in a meeting pretty much all day yesterday (oh the humanity) and in-between times no one has thought to hail The Cosh for this King amongst puns.

I sir salute you as a genius.

(its still a bloody good story mind)

Thanks for that will try that too.

Thanks for all your help with this. I appreciate you're having to work kinda blind with a technical numpty at the other end. Not the best combination I know! You've been dead patient and helpful so can I just say a very big thank you and when I'm next in Oxford I'll bring you a nice big spanner with which to hit the server (or my DNS if it it that, which of course you can't really hit with a spanner...but we can try maybe?)

Okay so were am I with this. Well its still not working. Tried everything suggested here. Last night I rang my ISP and they said that the problem was here (at the 2000ad site) as they couldn't get in either. I assured them the site was fine from elsewhere but since they couldn't get in to check they couldn't run their troubleshooting procedure so it was back to me.

They got me into my Router control admin thingie and again not sure what I was looking for so are there particular ports that should be open to allow access with the new up-date?

Another interesting thing which may or may not be connected was they suggested having a nosey at a site called PortForward which tells you all about opening ports and such like for particular sites. Did that and it might as well have been Chinese. So I figured I'd look at the forum and maybe post a message there. Linked to the forum and it said my IP address was blocked due to spamming. Now I can honestly say I've never been to this sight and I'm confident neither my wife nor 2 year old daughter have. So why is my IP blocked and could this be connected to my lack of access to the 2000ad sites? I'll not post my IP here as I'm not sure if that's wise but if I sent it to one of you lovely techie types could you check if its blocked? Would there be any point to that? Not sure at all if its relevant but it is very strange.

I always took it that Blackblood did have a human brain in some form or other. Or at least parts there of.

My evidence:

Of course having looked at it again now I'm beginning to doubt that's meant to be organic?
