Ah, I forgot about that bit. Thanks for the reminder.

Shall we do a roll call, then? Well, I'm going on Sat.

Yep likewise big thank you for the reminder I really would have forgotten that!

That is bloomin' lovely. Particularly fond of Burdis Block

Whoops another one that might get people angry (maybe). The surprise panel on Saturday is according to Mark Millar on twitter apparently (not checked myself) Noel Clarke... who's been listed as going for a while now. Not really a big surprise then? I wonder if this is another last minute thing?

Also was the Green Lantern panel on the listing over at the Kapow Website? If so that ones gone again.

Cheers - to be fair that was plain bone idolness on my part! Hopefully this might make room for the David Taylor stuff before that. Have to wait and see. Still good to see the Anderson Meg stuff getting collected (if I'm interrupting the info there correctly)

And alas Mike McMahon has had to pull out too according to Bleeding Cool

Well at least it means I'll have less comics to take with me!

That's pretty shameful -- I know people who've put in a lot of time and spent real money prepping portfolios for review. At this late stage, I would have thought it was incumbent on Marvel to send someone.

Bah.

Jim

Far be it from me to defend Marvel but to be fair they still might? Either that or Steve Wacker might well step in?

Just popped up on the Simon and Schuster site, for the US contingent amongst us:

ooh is this a set of the recent Anderson series (and upcoming cadet Anderson) then?
not seen this before

That certainly looks very interesting. How long has Boo Cook been doing Anderson in the Meg then?

There was also one that involved customising cars with armour and machine guns etc - the "pieces" were just cards about 3"x5" showing the outline of your car, on which you placed various upgrades as you bought them. Don't think there was a board as such. Does this ring any bells with anyone?

Was it Car Wars, that was mighty fun. But I have a nagging but vague recollection that it might have been a variation there of?

There were so many. Block Mania was a particularly fine example and Rogue Trooper was fine too. My favourite however was 'Kings and Things' that was hours of fun and the way it was designed meant no two games were close to the same. Oh and cute design with Killer Penguins. Can't get better than that.

Well bids in on one now and we'll see what happens.

Must dig out my Aliens board game that was great solo fun too as I recall.

That was a blooming great game. Given that my nerdy friends who'd play this type of thing with me are limited to... well... me these days I really should get a copy of this on eBay and go sit in the attic and enjoy as much solo fun as I like.

Prog / Re: Prog 1728: In the Lap of the Gods

I for one am always happy to see Red Seas in the Prog its a great thrill with some beautiful art. But, oh but, now while it was clearly coming and
Jack pops back from the dead
so much so I'm not sure why I even bothered with the spoiler tags there. The ease with which
he returned to the land of the living
does rather remove the jeopardy from the strip. Hopefully The Edge has a neat trick up his sleeve to fix that one. All in all though a nice opener and I'm happy to have this back.

As for the rest well Dandridge continues with a lot of exposition. A lot of exposition. A heck of a lot of exposition.

Dredd is magnificent and so is Flesh. Each week that passes I'm getting more and more impressed by art. At this rate by the time the strip ends he'll be my new favourite artist!

Good prog.

Yeah would defo like to see these in the flesh. Hope to catch up with you at Kapow. I suspect we'll be in a lot of the same queues.
