A giant fossil sea monster found in the Arctic and known as "Predator X" had a bite that would make T-Rex look feeble, scientists said Monday.

"It's much more powerful than T-Rex," he said of the pliosaur reptile that would have been a top marine predator. Tyrannosaurus Rex was a top land carnivore among dinosaurs.

Predator X's bite was more than 10 times more powerful than any modern animal and four times the bite of a T-Rex

That's all well and good, but how does its bite measure up to, say, a T-Rex?

What would be even better if its scienitific name, once it's been identified and gone through whatever taxonomical stuff needs to be done remained 'Predator X'. I mean as a kid how great would it be to be potting around the the Natural History Museum and the guide saying.

"And here are the skeletal remains of a Elasmosaurus, Ichthyosaurus and Predator X!"
