This news was shared with me recently and for someone interested by all things action figure related, particularly when in context to the 2000AD universe, this has me insanely excited!!!
Here's hoping that it lasts longer than the 3A range and that we get the complete Dark Judges this time around.
A Mean Machine finally and the rest of the Angel Gang would be great for starters too!!!

It certainly looks like Judge Death's leg.

Fingers crossed Rogue Trooper will finally get a figure.

A Rogue Trooper action figure is long overdue, I couldn't agree more.
Would be nice to see some alternative 2000AD characters receive some love for a change rather than the Dreddverse usual suspects.
Saying that, would be great to see a Land Raider vehicle, if the license holders can wrestle the rights away from Mattel! :)

Couldn't agree more - a couple from Kingdom/ Lawless/ Bad company/ Harlem Hero's/ Dante  - just mix it up as it gets a bit repetitive when it's always the same go to characters.

Then again I'll probably still open the wallet if they produce anything 😁

3A went:
Tharg
Mongrol
Ro-jaws
Judge fish
Gronk
Dredd
Sam slade
Death - fear - Mortis

And got slated for uncommerciality.
If I'd known it was harmless I would have killed it myself.

I don't know how it was slated uncommercial. I was slow off the mark and didn't manage to pick up
anything straight from any retail outlets 🙁. Now I'd have to pay silly amounts on eballs.
I suppose those that know the business crunch the numbers and we have to grin and bare it 😡

Yes, but their prices were hardly competitive, and you had something like a 20-minute window at 2am in the morning in which to buy a new figure.

Their prices were what they were, a bit more than an equivalent hot toy that would sell x1000 more as it was marvel or whatever. 3A wasn't cheap but I doubt anyone was making out gang busters off them.

The only 2000ad 3a which where time limited where the SDCC figures (alternate versions of gronk, fish & Rojaws) so the infamous 3A night-drops never applied. They kept orders open for Dredd, the dark judges and sam slade for months.

I think if Hiya pitch these figures in line with their other lines at around £20, they'll have a better chance of shifting them.
The 3A range were great but probably out of reach, price wise, for most buyers, particularly casual ones.

HIYA specialize in 1/18 scale figures, so you have to remember if this DEATH (obviously) or other figures ever see the light of day, they are in teeny tiny scale.
20 squid? oww!

1/6 scale is 12" tall, think vintage Action Man size or modern Hot Toys, Sideshow etc.
First series by 3A was 1/6 scale and consisted of THARG and 2 of the original Meknificent Seven MONGROL and RO-JAWS, then years later as a last gasp before close of business, 1/6 DREDD and APOCALYPSE WAR DREDD .
Extremely expensive, so the 1/6 series was dropped in favour of "less expensive half size" 1/12 scale.
1/12 scale are 6" tall and is the size of the second series of 3A 2000AD figures (DEATH, ROBO-HUNTER, FISH, GRONK, DREDD, LAWMASTER, FEAR and MORTISSSssssss) or modern Mezco One12, Star Wars 'black' series, etc.
1/18 scale are 3.75" tall, like vintage Star Wars and Action Force/GI Joe or reboot modern Star wars.

About 10 years ago I purchased HIYA TOYS first ever set of 6 figures, WW2 German Infantry.

"Hans! someone bent my Schmeisser"
The flexible plastic used made the figures and accessories all suffer from "droop" (bent rifles like 1970s Airfix soldiers).
In the quest for articulation to match bigger scales, the elbow/knee pins and hinges are very large and detract from the visual aspect of the figures.
But hey, they are a very poseable action figure if that's your thing.
I usually open and select one pose, then it sits on my shelves in the collection, never posed again.
Hopefully HIYA have made leaps and bounds since their first releases but I am interested in seeing what may be on offer from the house of Tharg.
It's just the itty-bitty size of the figures that would put me off.

I watched someone review the recent RoboCop figure from Hiya on YouTube and have to say I was very impressed with the detail and the amount of articulation for something so diminutive.
Gives me hope for any 2000AD range.
The Alien and Predator figures look pretty cool too.
I've splashed out on previous Dredd/AD figures in the past, including the ones from ReAction, 3A even the Marvel Legends ones, but a new manufacturer of 2000AD merchandise on the scene is most welcome and worth supporting, especially if we want more in the future.  :)

3A almost got Johnny Alpha out the door.  Such a pity they didn't.  There were some left-of-field choices in what they did but everything looked superb.  The big Dredd is practically definitive.  Getting Fear & Mortis and the Lawmaster were all brilliant.  Sam Slade was an interesting choice but as I say, a perfect representation.  I would've loved to pick up Judge Fish and der Gronk but they were too much for me.

I also wish they sold accessories.  I would have liked Dredd's cloak but couldn't go to getting the Apoc Dredd after already punting on big Dredd.

I guess they have to go for what sells, so I don't blame them for doing Death and probably following it up with Dredd, but I really hope they can go further with the line.  Even if it's just a Sov Judge in cloak to go against Dredd.

Pretty sure 3A cancelled the whole 2000AD series in JUL 2018 and later on in AUG 2019, Ash/3A company split from Kim/ThreeZero and then ceased business altogether.
Have read online rumours of a 3A rebirth using their licensed robot figures.
So like any new 1/12 releases from ReAction, Legendary Comic Book Heroes or Mezco, chances are slim to none.  :(

I see HIYA TOYS have pre-orders for 2 x 1/18th versions of the ARMORED PERSONNEL CARRIER (US/Meg spelling and $299 USD price = oww!) from the ALIENS movie.
They did produce a 1/18 RIPLEY'S LOADER (final scenes from ALIENS) that was $79.99 USD.
Very popular and sold out quickly but just like 3A collectors suffered, only available for high prices from scalpers online, if you did not pre-order early from HIYA to secure one.
Grud damned expensive hobby.
Which gives hope to HIYA potentially releasing Mek's or vehicles in the future.
Sentenoids? Hov-tanks? Manta's? or ALL of the original ABC WARRIORS including MekQuake? (if it was 3A they would be teasing with a prototype of JUSTICE-1 priced at $666 USD).
:) :D ;) :P :o

edit: Fairly sure 3A re-visited MONGROL and RO-JAWS during the 1/12 re-launch, so add them to the list of released 2000AD fig's in 1/6 and 1/12.
Right at the end 3A also teased a re-scaling of THARG prototype, complete with polystyrene cups in 1/12 scale  :P

HIYA also has a pretty nifty looking DREDD ripoff Robocop's ED-209 with sound (??YOU HAVE 20 SECONDS TO COMPLY?? pew pew pew) for pre-order at $49.99 USD.

If they can do him, then a HAMMERSTEIN should not be all that difficult.
