Some Old Comics.....

I found in the gasrge that I remember reading when I was in my early primary school years.

A bunch of old Phantom comics, 'The Shadow', 'Casper, The Friendly Ghost', 'UFO & Outer Space', 'Boris Karloff, Tales of Mystery', Rom, the Spaceknight', and laslty 'The Further Adventures of Indiana Jones'.

I'll scan the covers and put up here some time.

So "The Shadow" in Oz is a black guy?Or a guy in a black face-mask?

I 'm not really sure. As I flick thru the comic they aren't really giving the reader any clues other then the fact that he has his own caucasoid appearance ( He otherwise looks alot like Errol Flynn.) and then he his phantom face that is dark purple or blue and crosshatched through out the rest of the comic.

The comic is Distributed in Australia and is very pulpy. Notice that his hands on the front cover are still flesh coloured. I think that's probably a misprint, though it seems pretty deliberate. It's shown through out the rest of the comic that whenever he is in his shadowy guise his hands are shaded as well.

It doesn't really make it clear wether or not he's wearing a mask or if it's him using his mind powers to cloud everybody's mind. ( Including the readers.)

Remember the movie, it was well done, I think. Though, I couldn't really get into it at the time.
