strange life of the Eagle comic

Due to a conversation on Facebook I noticed the interesting life of the Eagle comic & that the original comic technically was merged into the New Eagle.
The original Eagle was merged into Lion in 1969, which was then merged with Valiant in 1974 that got merged with Battle 1976, finally Battle was merged into the New Eagle in 1988 completing the circle and making the original Eagle part of the New Eagle
