Peace is a lie, there's only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.

Got baby James christened yesterday, a great day, big family get together here in the house. I spent the day doling out wine, Guiness, and food.
The house is absolutly wrecked, the kids(15 of them) had a ball, so far I have found a load of chips in a dolls house, and a Superman with a chicken nugget stuffed inside its outfit! Of course the allready buoyant mood was lifted by the rugby.
Great day.

Because we made my mum cry at the weekend.

no, I'm not being horrible, it was a surprise 80th birthday party with all the children and grandchildren in attendance (a logistical feat in itself). My mum's not very demonstrative emotionally  (I don't think I've ever seen her cry before!) and she did her best to hold it in, but there was definitely a moist eye and a quiver in the voice. She said it was the best birthday she'd ever had.

The only downside was that I was relegated to sleeping on the sofa at my brother's and had to wait until the last drunken stragglers had left at 3.30 before I could crash out.

My girlfriend dressed as Halo Jones at an event at the weekend.

It was a terrible likeness but the sentiment was overwhelmingly sweet

before she left her Facebook status was

"Where am I going? Out."

:D

Keef Monkey

Sounds like you've got a real winner there! I have trouble just convincing my girlfriend to dress up as someone who enjoys my company.

Question is, was it the Clara Pandy hostess costume, or the rather less exciting Hoop gear?
