'In the 1995 Judge Dredd motion picture, a correct reproduction of the comic Lawmaster was made, however, there was just a single issue. It was excessively cumbersome, making it impossible to guide.'

Yes. I've also read Jane Killick's THE MAKING OF JUDGE DREDD.

A major part of the strip's appeal (to me) is its ridiculousness. Practicality no doubt trumps ingenuity but the 2012 movie's downplaying the strip's ridiculousness was (I think) the main reason I didn't warm to it on first viewing.

That's the key, a lot of stuff looks cool in the comic but doesn't translate well to live action.

Even when live-action looks cool but makes bugger-all sense*?

It's not practical in live-action.

Danny Bike cannon's range is limited. A Judge needs to be able to shoot all over the shop while riding pillion.

The boot holster is a ridiculous idea which would thoroughly alienate an American audience.

Possibly. What was said American audience's reaction to guns exploding due to unauthorized use?

Could be a problem, that. They should call off the whole thing.

A boot-holster. I wanna see that, too. And lotsa other stuff. But none of the stuff I don't wanna see.

Yer maw!

Your're mom, shurley?

I'd like to see a bike that only Judges can ride. Make it one of the reasons why it takes some of those fifteen years to train up.

He's the new Fawstin Bosch. Don't google that.

Did he ever complete THE INFIDEL? No, don't google that, either.

No

It's a Grudawful trope. And not one Garland was likely to resort to, I'm sure.

* Apart from one bit I've never really understood – why doesn't Dredd at any point pick up another weapon when he realises he's running low on ammo? Bit weird.

Been a while but he doesn't throw away his Lawgiver, does he?

That's why I'd love them to just open with a really bizarre episode

Creating a raft of futsies probably isn't the best way to guarantee an audience for Episode Two. Doctor's orders.

The Doctor's lost his man sausage and grown a pair of mammary glands.   It's Carry On Doctor for the new Millenium.

I have no idea what you mean by this.
