Mind Wars reprint - I believe it's next month - looking forward to it getting a wider readership.  I thought Starlord SD was better than the first 2000AD SD story, though obviously the strip has gone on to greater things.

You know, the more I read this organisation's content (blog posts, research reports, policy recommendations), the more I become utterly convinced that you must all live in some strange, cloistered, unhealthy place so far removed from reality and other, normal, people that rubbish like this seems sensible. p.s. I certainly remember knowing in the mid-eighties that Dredd was based 122 years in the future, and that the years in Strontium Dog also increased in line with our own (unfortunately it appears that Grant and/or Wagner forgot all about that later as it went right out of the window).

I think if he was wearing a gilet that would look ok.

Overall I am not sure that many changes to the uniform are needed. He has fairly regulation army  trousers, boots and helmet (biochip slot apart) anyway, so he looks pretty much like the soldiers in a load of war films. Apart from being blue, which is  the one thing I assume they won't change given Jason Kingsley's comments about that being a red line.

Blue characters would never work in a film - just look at Avatar, The Smurfs (and Smurfs 2), Guardians of the Galaxy, X-Men...

He was only ever called Cal in the strip.

Seriously though - I know how long it can take for films and TV to be made, and better to take time than rush something out.

So, the decks are being cleared in the JDM for Meg 400.  Any word on what's going to start in 400 (other than Storm Warning)?
