without having to ask the IT blokes who hate anybody
asking them to do work?

What browser are you using?
How far do you get? When I try with Netscape I get the first intro screen, but the second page comes up blank apart from the border.
You can access the chat room using mIRC (chatuklive.co.uk Channel #2000AD)

Browser is Netscape 4.08.
First screen works fine but all I get with the second screen is the border and nothing else.
Nice intro on the first screen though.

Do you have a copy of Internet Explorer you can try?

Unfortunately not. Like I said. The IT blokes here barely trust us with email let alone anything as exotic as Explorer. Also, their excuse is that it isn't secure enough.
